pampered chef pizza stones

since so many of you have these, please help a sista out.

we use ours for all kinds of things - pizza, chicken nuggets, fries, fish sticks, etc etc.

it now feels sort of like there's a greasy layer on top.

i know it's supposed to be "seasoned" but this just grosses me out.

any tips on how to remedy this????

Taste of Home talked about this on their forum a while back and said to use a baking soda and water paste to cover the stone, rub it in, let it sit for a few minutes and rinse (very, very) well. HTH!

Np! I hope it solves your issue... I should say that I don't think it was a staffer that gave that info, but generally speaking I think most of the people on that forum have crazy good knowledge. (And I did some additionally googling around, and found several people giving the same advice, so hopefully it cleans it up!)

ok, i just rinsed it and it is a lot better.  not perfect, but much better.

 

i did another coat and i'm letting it soak for 10 minutes and then i'll rinse the crap out of it.  thanks for the tip!!!
