Wedding Dress selling question
Permalink

So my dress just sits in a box. Im sad about that. I really want to have elvis marry us on the strip for our 5th anniversary this october, but I doubt it fits anyway and dh is totally against it.

So I just want to sell it. Does anyone know the best way to go about it. Its in a preservation box right now but the seal has already been broken. Id love to leave it in there but I know If I put it on ebay Id need to take measurements and pics of hw the dress is overall now.

I have a feeling Ill be sad if I dont get much for it. Is there a better way to go about selling a wedding dress.

WWYD?

ihni (helpful right?)

have you checked completed listings on ebay to see what they're going for?

also, try craigslist maybe...at least in that instance if you can't get the price you want for it, you aren't bound when the list time 'expires' like with ebay

another option would be to donate it. I know you said you'll feel sad if you don't get a lot for it but maybe it would make you feel better knowing it went to someone in need?

I have no idea. My wedding dress is still on the hanger and uncleaned from when I took it off on my wedding night over 8 years ago.

On the donation idea, I donated mine to a free clothing distribution center that also had a room for special occasion stuff (bridemades, wedding, all the way down to business suits for interviews).  I knew I would never wear it again, and I haven't missed it :)
