I didn't have baby names for children I wanted to name when I was little, little.
Well, I had a rabbit named Penelope. I liked that name. And a crow named Lily. I loved the name Lily and actually considered the name but our BFFs' oldest daughter is named Lillian nn'd Lily so we can't use it-
But when I was a teenager I had Jaguar Hans for a boy and Victoria Avonleigh for a girl.
Actually- DH likes Victoria and I do too but we couldn't agree to disagree on how to use it whether it would be a first name or a middle name so.....................................
we might use it when it comes time for #3'cause I convinced him that during my appt. in sept that i'm going to talk to my doctor on how to prevent another pregnancy like w/ adelaide and if it can be done- we'll be ttc in summer 2012
I also had Thomas for a boy at some point in time....
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PENELOPE!!!!!!! That came on a little bit later in life for me, but then I named everything I can Penelope.
Penelope the french horn. Penelope the lacrosse stick. Penelope the plate.
Yes, I'm a little weird. LOL
After I met Mike and he found out how much I loved the name, he made sure to put his foot down right away about naming a daughter Penelope.
I kind of agree b/c it may become Penny. That is a name I can not stand.
What was that cartoon that had that Penny girl on it and in the beginning her eyes were big pennies? Was it on PeeWee's Playhouse or something?
Forgot to add that is so exciting about TTC again! I needed at least a year after having a newborn to even think about TTC again. LOL
A lot has to happen first- but DH's main concern is I'll wind up in the hospital again so I have to be able to convince him that it won't happen but I don't know if it'll come to pass b/c by the time I'll be ready to TTC, he'll be in his mid-30's and he's not sure he wants to start over again that late into his 30's.
Libby, no idea about the co-op. the apartment is for sept 1st but who knows. They don't NEED to fill it right away.
The next step will be to get an interview. The committee would have someone from the house, someone from the membership team, and the co-op president. Getting all of those people to agree on a time can be crazy.
There is another place and we are going to take a look at that whenever we can arrange it so we can double our luck. I really want the one we went to see but we'll take what we get.
Ahhhh. I just want this figured out.
I talked to a realtor yesterday and he is going on vacation but he is coming to see the house on the 21st. That is good since there are some very important things I want to do before he comes.
Had to butt in to say please don't say you'll take what you can get!! You don't have to rush, right, so why not take a few extra weeks to find something you will be really happy with? I'm not saying make it months and months but you do want to be able to stay there and be happy for while, right?
OK. Stepping off my soapbox now.
I really really really hope you end up getting the one you saw and loved! I also hope they don't make you wait much longer to find out!
On a side note, I think this emoticon is just very very sad.
you are totally right.
i'm just overwhelmed with the idea of sitting in traffic again. our city is a pennisula - there are only 5 major ways on and off. it means that traffic can be horrendious. it is particularily bad in September and October when the schools and universities start back up. It will add an extra 30 - 40 minutes a day to our already horrible commute.
this is exactly why I am not buying right now. I really think I'd take anything just not to have to commute through this again.
Sonya I hope you find something soon that is a really good place for you to be. The co-op sounds great but you never know, maybe in the meantime you will find something even better. I don't blame you about the commute. I used to drive an hour one way to work when ds was in elementary school. I hated it and it was a huge time sucker. I think you should win the lottery so you can have your great house and a nice city pad too.
My favs were Alex and Max Short for Alexandria and Maxine. I liked the boys names as girl names. I can't remember any boy names that I liked when I was younger.
I woke up and stretched...and now have horrendous pain in my neck, back, and down my arm. NOT a good day for this kind of thing because my end of semester practicum is in an hour and a half...i've slathered on icy hot and will again before i start the practicum, fortunately it SHOULD only take about an hour from start to reviewing the video of it and getting my pass/fail grade.
other than that, when i was a little girl, I was going to change my name to kimberly and have a daughter named leslie jo, and a son named chauncey pierce LOL
Ugh!!!! Can someone come and convince my daughter to poop! She is full of miralax, liquid and fruit at this point. I have no clue how on earth she is holding it in. I can't go anywhere because I am afraid of what will happen when this goes off! She has dance lessons at 5:15 and at this rate I don't think she can go. She is miserable.
Sorry for the vent. I just have a hard time believing that this is still an issue.
Landon and Hunter. And in the unfortunate event (in my mind, at the time, since my mom kept telling me how much I was going to get back everything I gave her, ten-fold), I ran through a long list. Rachel was one of them.
I'm still beyond uber obsessed with the name Landon. I can remember naming babies that when I was 2-3 years old.
I remember when I played house, my husband and boy children were always Ryan. So interesting that I actually married a Ryan, and had a Ryan.
When I was a little older I like Andrew and McKenzie. (I was supposed to be named McKenzie, but my mom changed her mind last minute and gave me the #1 name of the year I was born lol)
