All in all a non-event.  except now i have a red tummy from the antiseptic and a bright white bandaid under my belly button.

also got a rhogam shot in my ass and 9 vials of blood taken from my arm - so if i dont see another needle for a loooooong time it is not too soon!

the sucky news is that the baby would not cooperate enough to give is a crotch shot - so will have to wait 2 weeks to know what it is.  timmy really wants a brother, so the wait is killing him!

i got to watch in the u/s the entire time she did it - and got a good long look at its face  (from above) and a arm and 4 fingers (thumb tucked under)  so that was real cute.

my tummy is sore, feels like a bruise deep down.  and now i am resting today and tomorrow in bed!

my placenta is still real low, but not covering the cervix.  that is good news, as it will move away as the pregnancy progresses.  the only pic i got today was a shot of the placenta/cervix that she wants me to take on vacation along with a printout of this pregnancy history so far - just in case i need to see a doctor while there (we leave for hilton head on saturday - yay!)  but in this pic is a shot of the spine, belly and the thigh bone.  so cute- the bones are really clear on the u/s now!  too bad the head was not in view - it looks kinda freaky and headless, but i know the head is there LOL!

i have  checkup mid sept, and the "big" u/s on sept 30 - the morning i fly back from my vegas/ohio trip!

oh, and she cleared me to be able to "gently" swim - so i hope that will do wonders for how i feel and for helping to work on my frozen shoulder.

and i am still 2 kilos (5 lbs) under my jan 1 weight (from the msbl weighin) so i am pleased that i have not piled on the pounds so far - hopefully being able to swim will help keep that in check for the next 5 months!

i'm glad everything is looking good, megan.  it stinks  you couldn't find out the gender though!

i really hope the swimming will help with your shoulder.  it is amazing that your weight is down without working out AND being preggo!

GREAT update megan! i'm so excited for you.  i cant wait to know what youre having.
also, i didnt get a chance to respond to your shoulder post (i was away and checking in on iphone, but couldnt respond to much) - i'm so sorry :(

so glad all went well!! i remember my belly hurting at the incision sight where the needle went in for a few days when I had the amnio with Owen.

I am happy you were clear to come to the US. So fun!!!

Cannot wait to hear boy or girl in a couple weeks.

So glad you can swim again and really hope it helps your shoulder!  Great news about your placenta moving up a bit too. 

Our big US is on the same day!  WOO-HOO!!

What a great update Megan!  I can't wait to find out what you are having!  I love having friends who are pregnant - it always makes me smile when I think of a new baby coming!  Are you feeling baby move yet?

Have a great trip to Hilton Head.  You'll be posting while on vacation right?

awesome, i should have logged on here first before shyly reaching out to you on FB

i'm glad your placenta is improving

i can't wait to 'talk' to baby in Vegas

i'm still roooting boy, for sure!!!!

and I also got everything in the mail to you. there may be lots that isn't your "style" but for lounging and the like, it should all work out great

there are a couple of bella bands in the box as well, i hope you find a few pieces that will work for you!!

(tell your mom sorry about the huge box!)
