First finished wall canvas...feedback please!

So, I'm in the process of about five projects but wanted/needed to just stick to one and finish it to get an idea on time/supplies and of course if I could actually do it. This one is small - you can tell in comparison to my hand (I am holding it up) and very thin. They are a lot cheaper than the thicker canvas and I bought a bunch just to start and practice, etc.

Anyway - please give me honest feedback. With these small ones I am probably going to group them in 3's or fours and connect them with ribbon. Hard to explain but I will show finished products.

I couldn't decide whether to put a cherry on the top of this one but decided not to - I will on the next one. Anyway, the next one will be similar but with a polka dot background.

I'd love your thoughts, and feedback. TYSM!

That's ADORABLE!

Is the cupcake felt?

Those colors are really good.

Curious to see what else you come up with.

Thanks! It's all painted. I have a bunch of drawings that I've brainstormed. I'm excited. Thanks for the feedback!

It's adorable!  And I think a cherry on a different one would be too cute!

They look REALLY cute.

But, to give good feedback, I think you need to let me buy a set for my kitchen, and see them in person. smile.gif

Super adorable.

And you know you have a buyer for anything even mildly cupcake related.

Thanks so much! Seriously, I am super excited.

As far as other ones - it's SO easy to come up with girl related things - flowers, butterflies, fairies, etc.

Apies - as far as boys rooms - I have thought of sports, transportation (car, airplane, sailboat, that kind of thing) and animals. I thought it would be cute to do a set with an elephant, lion, monkey, that kind of thing. For my boys I am going to do some transformer stuff. Send me a pic (or post here) of his room and what he's interested in. He loves balls, right? Like, baseball, etc? What about a sports theme?

Leah - :D Let me know what sizes you are looking for and I'll see what I can cook up.

Also - pricing. The only thing I know is that I can charge a lot less than what I've seen them sold for. Everything seems SO overpriced! I was thinking of selling them separately but doing a discount if you buy four (when they are the sets of four). Anyway my goal is that they are very reasonably priced but it obviously has to account for the time I spend - which is a lot more than the supplies though those cost too.

I'm making some pretty big ones for my niece and nephew and for a size like that I've seen people charge 100 dollars!!! Are you kidding me???

At this point I'm totally brainstorming so it's all over the place - hawaiian theme, cupcakes, desserts, etc. If you see something or think of something that you might want, just lmk and I'll see if I can do it.

I can 99% guarantee that if I can do it, it will be considerably less than what you might pay elsewhere. :D

Presley and SG's bedspreads have big flowers on them, pink, yellow, purple, orange, etc.  They sort of look like daisies.

What about something like that?

Sounds totally do-able. Will you get me a picture of their beds and let me know what you are thinking and see if it is something you want to do.

What size canvas? Do you want a set of small ones or a bigger one. On the bigger ones I can do names, and I can also add ribbon to make it a ribbon holder. Whatever you want.

I'm pretty sure I have a picture somewhere, I'll find it and post it.

I think I'd like the smaller ones, like a group of 3 tied together, something like that.

I think it looks fantastic! You did a wonderful job! Are you sticking with kids themed things? I bet you could do coffee mugs, perfume bottles, sea shells, space things, planets, letters, make up, shoes (even boyish ones like boots, basket ball, cleats, etc.), and musical related things. You definitely have the talent needed. I agree you want to make the price attractive, but don't undersell yourself.

Thanks! I do want to do more adults themed (not THAT kind of adult themed tyvm) but haven't thought a ton about it yet.

What really started this was that MIL had an idea to do handmade christmas gifts and I just started brainstorming. Then I went to a baby boutique and was shocked to see how much they were charging for things I knew I could do and sell for much, MUCH cheaper.

I am making something for MIL for Christmas. I think it will have a cupcake on it but it will be bigger and have the saying "life's short, eat dessert first." Her mom used to say that all the time and I think it is so cute and I think she will like it because of the connection to her mom - who has passed away. So, yes but so far I haven't thought of a ton. :)
