Gavin is more of a TV lover than Owen. We add stuff to our instant netflix que and they watch from there since we don't have cable. They are into the movie The Iron Giant lately. They also LOVE Looney Tunes. They will do the whole "rabbit season, duck season, rabbit season, duck season, duck season, FIRE!" with each other. So.cute. Gavin also loves Tom and Jerry.
They still love Transformers to play with but actually haven't watched the shows in a while and were watching them every.single.day.
Owen still loves MMC and they like Curious George. They also like Martha Speaks.
She was still requesting BE videos when everyone one else's kids had moved on, and she still seems to like more childish things.
She still loves Wubbzy, Max and Ruby, Miss Spider, etc. Basically most of the shows on Noggin.
She is also in love with Strawberry Shortcake, which Bill HATES. He has tried to get them into Tom and Jerry and Kate will watch it, but Anna doesn't like it. And she will still watch Little Bear and all of those too!
Movie wise, I FINALLY got them to watch something other than Nemo while we were on vaca. We watched the Land Before Time, but she wanted to turn it off a couple of times. We kept it on for Kate and told Anna to deal with it.
She is still very frightened by a lot of things on TV. She will immediately ask to have things turned off if they get really sad or scary to her.
Oh! And we found a Peppa Pig DVD-she was in Hog Heaven, lmao!!!!
Supa I could have written this exact post about Lauren except she won't even watch Nemo b/c she is scared of the shark in the beginning. As long as I stick with simple shows like Little Bear she does fine.
We were supposed to go to Disney yesterday and she freaked out all week that she didn't want to go near Cinderella's castle b/c they do a show on stage and some of the witches come out. She begged me all week to go to Sea World instead. It's so hard when she gets like this b/c Anna wants to watch movies like The Little Mermaid and Lauren cries the whole time it is on even though I always FF through the parts with the sea witch. :sigh I guess we just have two sensitive little ones.
Sorry for the t/j Kristi. Has she seen the show Penguins of Madagascar on Nickelodeon? It's pretty funny. Lauren will actually watch that one. Do you have HBO? There is a show called I Spy and A Little Curious. They are really cute and different too.
No cable here but she watches some shows online. She likes things on PBS and watches movies. Now that we have a working VCR she gets to go through Stephen's movies collection. I found out I still know the theme song for the first Pokémon(which I haven't watched in a lot of years). How sad is that? Totally in love with Toy Story which I expected. She likes Saturday morning cartoons on the CW especially Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. She never sits and watches a whole show or movie. She is usually playing and it is in the background.
Bringing this tread back because I found a new show that my girls LOVE! It's on the Discovery Kids Channel called Hi-5. It's perfect for this age. This channel has quite a bit of age appropriate kids programming but I *try* to make an effort to not let them watch everything, well most days lol.
Lauren also loves a show called Wonderworld with characters called Ribert & Robert but it is on a local university channel here so I'm not sure what it would be for anyone else.

Good to know. Thanks to this thread Sarah's new fav is Super Why. Phew, I get a break every once and a while. This girl LOVES to cling to me.
Mason just started watching The Huckleberry Hound Show the other day, and he's mesmerized. Boomerang has all the old-school Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Flintstones, Jetsons, Smurfs, Yogi Bear, etc.
we dont have half as much choice - i need to pick the episodes off of what is available on itunes.
clara is still totally in love with little einsteins, dora and diego. she also likes "manny manny". she super loves super why - i downloaded both seasons 1 and 2 off itunes when she had the chickenpox a few months back. she gets to watch on average less than an hour TV during the week (school full time, activities keep us busy)
we JUST discovered yo gabba gabba and ne how kai lan. (sp?) so she was a happy bunny on the plane ride and during this vacation.
i am happy for this to last as long as possible, as at least with those shows she is learning stuff.
one show i cant stand is little bill - LOVE bill cosby, but this show super annoys me. thank goodness its only on in the US.
cecile is all about icarly, jonas, HM, etc. clara wants NOTHING to do with those. although it would be nice, then they wouldnt fight over the one TV that has english TV on it *sigh*
AND Word World ROCKS! I love Word World! Its on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 on PBS. :)
I hate SuperWHY! It annoys me.
Um. We also like CrashBox on HBO. I don't how he found out about it but he did and he loves it. He loves brain teasers and puzzles so its no wonder it appeals to him. But we won't have HBO much longer when True Blood is over.
Past that...He does like Imagination Movers...And Veggie Tales (I like 'em too) and Zula Patrol (every afternoon except Friday at 3:30 on PBS and Saturdays at I think 10:30 on NBC). I LOVE Zula Patrol but its very science-y so if they aren't science minded it might not appeal. But we're science folk in this house!. And Cyber Chase which is on every day at 4 on PBS. And Arthur which is on every day at 4:30 on PBS. And Curious George which is on every day at 8 and 1 on PBS. :) And don't forget the PBS Kids channel! :) Yay!

i'm cutting way back on tv lately. R gets too obsessed and it's all she ends up talking about.
cara gets one yo gabba gabba before R wakes up. rachel gets one pinky dinky do when cara is napping. and they watch one little bear together while i'm getting dinner ready. 2 shows a day each, not back to back, and that's IT over here!!! i've totally had it with tv! i think once R starts preschool again we'll put another show in the rotation and phase out pinky. maybe i'll try phineas or the words one (have to go back and see what taht was called!) we;ve entirely banned backyardigans bc her obsession was completely beyond belief.
they are allowed to watch dvds - they like angelina and they like little mermaid and aristocats but not obsessively at all.
Christopher does not watch much TV home (in US) because he's so busy with school and activities and he just loves to ride his bikes and scooters in the yard but we've been watching a lot of TV (DVD player) while traveling so he is really into Tom and Jerry and Cat in the Hat movie. He has watched Cat in the Hat million times now and he asks for it all the time. He also loves other Dr. Seuss movies like Lorax, green eggs and ham, etc.
The biggies right now for Ellerie are SuperWhy!, WordWorld, Phineas and Ferb (which we love, too), and the Sid the Science Kid.
There is also the Tinkerbell movie, on repeat, repeat, repeat....well, maybe it just feels that way! I can't wait for the NEW Tinkerbell movie to come out next month, just for the change.
