So this girl I work with came to work yesterday and left after about 1/2 hour. She had one of her friends call and pretended like her daughter's daycare was calling saying that her daughter was sick. Our boss asked her if she'd be back and she said it depended on how sick she was. Well her daughter wasn't sick at all, she did that so she could go to cedar point(amusement park) So today she's back at work and our other boss asked her how her daughter was and she told him that her daughter was in the hospital and has to stay there until she pees.

WTH!! I just could never use that for an excuse.

My boss never gives me a hard time when I need time off for M2. I guess he just gives her a hard time, becuase it seems like she does it all the time!!

I still can't believe she used that excuse!!!!

jawdrop.gif

That is wack!!!  I can't believe someone would actually do that-that is just terrible!!!  Do you think your boss actually believes her???

I just found at that she left at 1:15.  I'm sure she used the excuse that she had to go pick her daughter up from the hospital!

OMG!

geesh, that is just crazy.

Hi A!!!!

Tracy-did you ever figure out how to get to the last unread post in a thread?  I know I am not all that tech savvy, but I haven't figured that out yet...

I was trying to figure that out and am pulling my hair out trying to do so!!!

Newbie??? How do I become a member? Or even better, a veteran member? Probably the Premium Membership.

Speaking of premium membership - don't anybody go posting some pregnancy news, k? It will be a bit before I can upgrade. ;)

Juni, don't worry. So far I don't see any new pregnancies. As for the status of newbie, member or veteran, I am not really sure how that works. I think I am a premium member now but I am not a veteran. I am not sure why Sonya is. Maybe she went through and obstacle course of something. ;p

Ooohhh! Thanks for pointing out the quick reply Juni! I saw it yesterday and totally forgot to try it.

We just go back from a nice walk and put Meghan to bed. She's all wound up so I'm guessing I'm going to have to go up there a few times.

It has been so gorgeous out all day! Very much like an early fall day (my favorite!!). I have all the windows open in the house and the fresh air feels great.

Looks like it's going to be hot this weekend though which sucks b/c we are having major issues with our central air and really can't afford to fix it right now. :glum I think it's going to effect the heat too so we only have a little while before we have to fix it anyway. These are the things that make me really miss our condo! :ahh Buying a lottery ticket this weekend. Really. This time I'll remember! LOL

For now, I'm just so happy it's so beautiful out. I woke up this morning feeling so refreshed after sleeping with fresh air all night.

I hope there ends up being a way.  The only other thing I miss is being able to see who's online. But it's probably something I didn't really need to be doing anyway! LOL

Maybe I am not understanding, but if you just go to the right hand side of your screen where it says the time of the last post and click on the time it takes you to what was posted last.  Or do you mean so it takes you to where you left off last?

Exactly.  Like let's say you were gone for a couple days and wanted to start off where you left off in the I confess thread.  You used to just click the little arrow next to the thread title and it would bring you to the last post you read.

It looks like if you click the time stamp here, it only brings you to the last post so you have to go back to see where you left off.  Not too bad right now but could become a problem as the board (HOPEFULLY!!:wink) becomes more active again.

we went on a hunt for a bike for Charlie today.

I didn't think it would be hard. just find a bike that fit him.

we finally ended up at a cycling shop and spent way too much on a bike for him

he wanted to ride it home. lmao.

he's in love. I can't believe he didn't ask to sleep in his helmut.

Still jealous.  ROFL   It must be beautiful on the water right now!!!

I'm so glad you posted b/c I have a question for you.  Do you know of any beaches in NJ that would be reasonable for us to go to tomorrow?  We don't mind driving a bit but probably not for like 2 hours.  I was going to say that I don't think you are too familiar with things btw. my house and yours and then I remembered you grew up in Randolph!

MY UTERUS IS STRETCHING LIKE CRAZY AND HURTSSSSSS!  Sorry.  Had to say it.  It sucks and I forgot all about this.  evileye.gif  /endpreggocomplainingfornow

That is so cute!!!! :luvsmile  Make sure you take pics!

Is it a bike he'll be able to use for a few years? Is it adjustable at all?  If so, I wouldn't worry about the cost.  Kids really beat the crap out of their bikes so at least you probably won't need to buy a replacement!

totally. it's a very good bike and he is goign to be starting it at the very lowest the seat and handle bars go.

josie could use it (it's red) and if not, my nephew Jonah can.

josie liked the big pink bikes with sparkles and things coming from the handle bars.

Hi, everyone!

Mark was a bear most of the day today, but hopefully he'll be in dreamland shortly.

Henry wants me to read the next Weird School book to him now. It's a series of very cute chapter books.

diane, i know NOTHING about the shore. we didn't spend anytime down there when i was a kid so i'm no help.

i do know that the traffic will be HORRENDOUS on a weekend, so be prepared for that. idk if you can get anywhere down the shore without driving 2 hours.

:dunno

Thanks!  I just told Mike that.  His response?  "That changes eeeeeeeverything".
I tried to explain to him that it's not really one of those things you can plan at 9pm the night before.  I mean it is, but not if mommy still gets to sleep in tomorrow LOL.
