No big plans for the weekend. Of course it's FINALLY supposed to be hot tomorrow and the boat is in the shop.  Grrrrr!!!  Braydon has a birthday party Sunday afternoon and we'll probably work on Sunday too cleaning for a repeat customer.

Good morning everyone!

We don't have any plans for the weekend.

It's suppossed to be hot here so maybe we'll hit the water park tomorrow. I don't know though because if AF starts(was supposed to already) I don't really want to go to the water park! I guess we could go and Michael could go in the water with M2?!

Other than that I have no clue what we'll do.

Of course there's always laundry and cleaning that needs to be done, but who wants to do that!

 Do you not wear tampons?

:dunno

Just struck me as funny, I don't think I've worried about swimming and AF since I was in 7th grade and wearing pads.

I swear I responded to this.  Oh well if you see two posts I goofed!

Yes I do wear tampons.  I'm just really heavy on my first day(and second) that I'd rather not be bothered with it.  If we do go, I'll be running to the bathroom at least every hour!

So, we were with our friends all week and the little boy loved Josie. Our favorite Talbot quote of all time is "Daddy, how old will I be when Josie is 18."

lmao

well, at least she'll be legal then.

i would have exactly the same problem. I could never do a water park on my first two days. I'd be lucky to have to go every 1 hour.

we're going to see the apartment on Sunday morning.

The rent is very managable - 850 including all utilities except phone and cable. That's do-able.

There are two more apartments available (one now and one in December). Hopefully we'll get to see them too.

This sounds very promising!  :fingers that it works out for you.  How big is it?  It sounds like you would be saving quite a bit of money in utilities and car expenses to help off set the cost.  You know you better take pictures so we can see.biggrin

I got a little boost at work yesterday.

We are doing very informal SAS training and the guy who is helping us gave us some homework.  More than anything, it was to generate questions for the next training session.

I breezed through most of it and just got a little stuck at the end.  I was pretty surprised and impressed with myself!

At our session yesterday, it turns out that the other 3 people either couldn't do it at all or didn't get very far.  He pulled up all of those and discussed where they went wrong.  Mine was 99% correct biggrin, but since it was, he didn't really pay any attention to it.  Basically, I figured my boss probably sneezed and missed the fact that I did a good job.

At the end, my boss said something about needing more sessions before bringing in the expert trainers and that no one really got the homework exercise.  The guy who was training us spoke up and said, "no, that's not true.  Diane came really really close.  Just one little thing I had to change".  My boss was all "Wow.  Really?  That's great!".   A thing to add was the trainer guy is BFF with my boss and is a d*ck so he had to have been impressed to say anything at all.

This may not sound like a big deal but my job is about to become obsolete (sp?) because we are changing to a whole new system.  Showing my boss now that I can quickly pick up new software is sooooooooo important b/c hopefully when they are building the new team, he'll consider me since I've been able to show that I can catch on quickly.  I really really really need to keep my job, and getting preggers now right during the transition is not the ideal situation!

So go me!!

Wow.  I need to learn how to write shorter post.  Seriously.

 that's awesome Di!!!!!

i'm glad your boss was forced to recognize your SAS prowess

He really slathers them in sunscreen and then he held her for about 30 minutes while charlie and I were in the lake.

lmao. it still makes me laugh.

Proof he should definitely be wearing sunscreen himself.

That is soooo funny! And it brings up another subject. Does that mean he's putting sunscreen on the palms of their hands?

I've had many a ruined day by one of my kids rubbing sunscreen into their eyes. I avoid their hands like the plague with the lotion.

I'm loving these new emoticons.

No, he says he doesn't get it on her hands but she must have somehow got it on there.

Hi all!!!!

Di-that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!  YGG!!!!!!!! (I would put in some emoticons, but IDK any of them yet, lmao)  Seriously, I am so glad that he was able to see how quickly you adapt, and I am sure that will play a huge role for you in the future.  ROCK ON!!!!!!

And Sonya, that picture is TOO MUCH!!!!  I can not even imagine that that would be possible, yet there it is!!!

Not much is going on here this weekend.

We were supposed to have date night last night and watch SYTYCD (which one of my jackarse FB friends spoiled for me, dangit), but he called at 5 amd said he had no idea when he would be home.  He got home at almost 8, and when I asked what was going on, he said the boss in charge of the Afghanistan project committed them to getting some drawings done by Saturday, and having a conference call about it on Sunday.  Needless to say, he was not pleased, and we did not have date night.  He said goodnight to the kids, scarfed down some food and got to work-I wasn't even aloud to talk to him because he didn't want me to break his concentration!!!!  I guess the boss doesn't know how detailed these drawings are (they are designing the entire facility for the base there, down to where the outlets will go and everything, and have to include layouts for the office areas-it is very time consuming), so Bill was trying to get as much done last night as possible so that he and the other guy he is working with on this can get it done today and not have to work the weekend.

But this was a long way of saying, Bill might have to work the weekend, so we don't have plans.  If he doesn't, he said he needs to spray and prune the grapes, so we might go to the farm and swim or help him with that.  IDK!  If he works, we might go over and go swimming anyway!

I'm not used to the new forum yet-I really need to investigate and figure things out!

Any tips?  I see Sonya is a veteran member already, so Sonya, have you explored the new site?
