I just got a call from the co-op apartment lady. she said we can go see it today if we want. I want.
yay!
does this mean you definitely decided to go to the apt before you sell the house?
well, if we get into the housing co-op, the rent should be really reasonable and the apartment is walking distance to everything so we would do it in that case. otherwise we will wait. i don't want to get tied into a full lease with a rent the same as our existing mortgage.
i don't know. we're still deciding really. there are so many benefits but another $800 a month expense will be really tight. it would mean a very tight year.
if we don't do this, we may have to pay to put charlie in a private school for next year so that is about the same as rent for the year.
Josie is in her 4th outfit in 15 minutes and her 3rd pair of socks.
Can she dress herself already??? That's fantastic! Meghan still has trouble with a bunch of things (there is no way she can do a zipper yet. No. Way.)
she's been obsessed with dressing herself forever. She doesn't do zippers or buttons but she does put it all on (insists on doing it herself :shoothead: )

Sonya I was thinking about you the other day.
I don't know how far you are in the move process as far as making your mind up but....another option would be to put most of your stuff in storage and just leave the bare essentials so that clean up would be easy for showings.
I thought about it when I saw one of those pod things in front of someone's house where they bring the storage unit to you, you fill it and they take it away.
I was wondering if you could put your furniture in storage and have one of those staging companies fill your house with furniture, except for the bedrooms or something.
Just cost wise instead of having a mortgage and rent I wonder how this would work out.

Just a thought.
we would definitely leave the house empty or very close to empty. we have such shit furniture that i really worried that showing the house with the furniture would be a problem.
I think we'll leave enough here to make it a weekend get away and try to sell it asap.
i have no idea how we'll afford two payments but mike has a plan. lmao.
we won't be filling the car twice a week, we won't have to pay a huge oil bill every month, we won't need as much wood for the wood stove.
we won't be losing 10 hours a week commuting.
we won't have to try to save $7000+ for Charlie's private school next year - he'll be in the best school district in the city and can go to the afterschool program at his current daycare.
we may have to cut out a lot of stuff. i don't know.
:ahh
I'm an easy sell in some ways. the idea of being in the city instead of here is so tempting.
