bench and canvases, plus a question
Permalink

Thought I'd post pics of the canvas prints and the bench we made.

My question is about the pic with the bench. I was going to do hooks above it so the kids can hang their jackets. (and me and Dustin, too. We usually just leave them on a dining room chair and it looks horrible.)

I love the look of an entryway with all the jackets and stuff ready to go. Makes it look really lived in. But that wall is actually in our dining/living area. It's pretty far from the table (the space is huge) but I worry it will look cluttered. There is a closet on that wall too so I could put hooks in there but I feel like we probably won't use them as much as if they were out.

What would you do?

(I also think we could hang the hooks and if I hate it, we could move them. Yes, I'm debating this much over hooks. Shut it.)

love both!

i'd totally do the hooks over there.

if you decide you can't stand the "look" of them hanging out, i would definitely put something else over that bench. looks empty.

I'm far more practical than stylish.

I'd do hooks.

1.  we would intend, but never actually use the closet here.

2.  coats on hooks is still less cluttered than coats on chairs (which we do all the time here too)

LOVE the canvas prints.  I think we may do similar at the house.
