Do you have one? I'm thinking about trying the Pioneer Woman recipe this year. Just curious to know what others do.

i hate mashed sweet potatoes. my favorite way to cook them is to cube and roast them in butter, cinnamon and brown sugar.

I have been making a recipe that someone posted on this board years ago. My kids are the pickiest of eaters and even they love it. I can't remember who originally posted it...

4 large sweet potatoes (or 2 cans of yams)
1 stick of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon orange juice (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cinnamon graham crackers, mashed into crumbs
1 bag mini marshmallows.

Mash first 5 ingredients together. Put in a baking dish. Cover with crumbled graham crackers. Bake 40 min at 425 degrees. Cover with mini marshmallows and bake another 5 minutes until marshmellows are melted and lightly browned.

My recipe is similar to Alicia's, minus the graham crackers. Ethan loves the marshmallows on top!

I do the same, but instead of marshmallows I am doing a crushed pecan crust on top. You make it sweet potato with sugar, tsp. vanilla, eggs, butter. Then the crust you do brown sugar, flour , chopped pecans and butter. Sprinkle in top and bake again.
