i know, i know, you've heard this before.

but i HAVE to do something.

literally none of my clothes fit.  it's ridiculous.

starting tomorrow, i'm back on MFP and back to the gym. i don't care how busy work is, i think part of my self-esteem issues right now is my weight.

if anyone else is on the wagon right now, i'd love to journey with you.

my goal is to lose 20 pounds by christmas.  that's 8 weeks. i got this.

I am not trying to lose weight so I hope it doesnt offend anyone that Im here, However I really am trying to make our family more healthy.

Im trying to cut my diet coke down. Dh had it to where I would drink one maybe a week but in the past 6 months or so Ive gone to about 2 a day.
I want to go back to just water.

Also I really want to start cooking for my family and not out of a box.

Megan I don't blame you!!!!! Mcds!!!!

I ate ground turkey taco over lettuce tonight.

I'm starting a cleanse in the a.m.

If I'm really honest, I could stand to lose 20 lbs.

I'm really going to use the cleanse to jump start and eat good more times than not from now on.   I will completely cut out all soda from now on.  I have worked hard the last month to up my water and I'm hoping to stick to that.

exercise . . . that's a tough one for me.  Early this year I was doing the elipitical every day.  Now I really don't do any exercise at all other than driving my kids around (does that count evileye).

I'm also getting ready to go crazy town on the stuff in my house with Red 40 and all those other dyes.    I don't think I have a ton of it but I want to make sure.  I'm really starting to be aware of the non-natural stuff in food and I'm going to make more of an effort to keep it out of my house.

I should be on the wagon sigh. I cannot get motivated. It's gross. I am going to try!

Kris I was lurking in cocktail and saw you mention spark, are you doing advocare? My sister just started it today and she told me about spark, curious if you girls are doing the same thing. Sorry for being a creepy lurker lol.

April, thank you for the motivation, maybe I can do this with you girls! Oh and I have two pairs of jeans that fit. Horrible.

I am with ya. I fell off the wagon too. I will be doing the same cleanse as Kris as soon as I get it. I usually eat really healthy, but have been eating like shit as of late. I am up about 5 lbs. It has been just over a year that I started my weight lose. I lost 30, but need another 15 off. I will be happy with 10.

My goal is to kick ass this time and get that final 10 off once and for all.

I wish! I want so badly to eat well, but my addiction to sugar sabotages me constantly. I seriously can't stay away from the stuff and it makes me fail every time. If I can find a way to get around this, I'd go for it in a heartbeat, because without staying away from sugar I'll gain the weight back as soon as I stop trying so hard. Blech.

yes.  I've been drinking the spark for 6 weeks . . . maybe a little longer.  the cleanse is what really got me interested in their products but I didn't want to start with that so I chose spark.  I love the products so far!

i'm not necessarily on the wagon because i set myself up for failure.

right now i am focusing on small goals.

1. cut out soda (going well so far)

2. cut out ice cream. this is a BIG source of calories for me. it's hard but i'm doing well.

once these two things are just part of my life i will add 2 more things..

this is me.  there is no way that i can continue to drink as much soda as i do and lose any weight.at.all.  it is just not mathamatically possible.  I probably drink a six ack a day (yes, I just admitted that) no wonder I am huge. :bag

April. i think the thing you said with "one meal at a time" is such a smart way. I am going to have that as my goal. we were doing really well over the summer, but once vacation hit, we slacked off. one problem is that I hate all the cleaning up after cooking.

I was told by a dietician that one can of regular soda pretty much = 10lbs a year. 6 pack would be like 190 something grams of sugar a day.

However, I am a coffee addict. I weaned myself to black coffee now with no dairy or sugar.

yep. if i truly admit it. between all the different ways I get it.  I usually get a 32 oz in the morning (so so bad, i know)  then i will drink soda throughout the day and alot of times in lieu of food. i will probably eat one full meal a day but i just get so many calories through the soda.  it is sad.

i fed the kids leftover mini muffins from my training yesterday and i didn't even eat one.

i had special k with skim milk.  small victories.

i know i can't give up my coffee or diet coke, so i'm just accepting that as part of my daily intake.

i usually drink 2 travel mugs (or 1.5) in the morning.

in the afternoon, i usually get a fountain diet coke.

i will just up my water to accommodate those weaknesses. :)

ygg!  carbs are such my downfall.  when we were concentrating on eating healthier, i really tried to cut them out.  i find that once i eat any at all, i am done for the entire day.

some of the things we were doing was:

eating tons of fish (I LOVE salmon so it was just absolutely delicious in the oven over a salad)

eating a salad with every meal and making that the main focus.  I also used feta cheese and pecans to give a crunch.  i know they are are both high in calories but I used a low calorie dressing and since it was considered a "meal" it evened out.

i also stocked up on these (when there was a catalina promotion I ended up getting them for like 4 cents each!!!)  they were so delicious mixed in with the salad.

we were also going to the YMCA.  I really need to exercise because of my knee.  so i def need to get back to that.

i am excited to get back on track!!

thanks apies for starting this thread
