Is this dress ok for a formal wedding?

My cousin is getting married in November on a Friday afternoon at 3pm. The invitation says formal. I'm still not sure if I will be able to go or not. I'm still waiting to see if I can get the time off work. So I don't want to drop money on a super formal dress I might not even get to wear if I can't go or one that I can't wear again. So could I dress this up enough for a formal event?

I say for a 3pm weddig that would work with the right jewlery and heels.

That is so pretty!  Though I have to admit that a Friday afternoon wedding being formal is a little baffling to me, LOL.

I'm having the hardest time trying to find a dress for my brother's wedding.  It's on the beach in Florida in November - so it could be 80 degrees or it could be 40.

 Sounds like we'll be swapping coasts for weddings in November then. My cousin is getting hitched in CA.

They are getting married on 11/11/11 at 3:15.... it's already a Friday afternoon. I don't know why they didn't go all out and do it at 11:11

How funny!

My mom was saying last night that her boyfriend is going to wear a suit to the wedding.  A beach wedding?  Where we are going to be made to take off our shoes?  I don't think suits are the couple's intention.

At least it isn't a tux on the beach I guess

I ended up ordering the dress and it is already shipped. Thanks everyone for the help!!!!
