We haven't yet, but are considering it. Do you know how often they have to meet? Mason wants to do it, but I don't know much about it.

well, we joined about a month ago.

they meet every week for 3 weeks and the 4th week is the "pack" meeting which I do not believe we are supposed to attend.

There is so so so much to it.  Tons of activities and things to do.   We have an informational e-mail that our pack leader has sent out and it is very long and dense with info.  I feel like I'm drowning a bit with it.

They have a book and they try to work through that book and do the tasks in it to earn badges, etc.  They went to the police station for a tour last week.

I do work with an older lady who has tried to steer me a little bit . . . . that there is a ton that you can do but you do not HAVE to do it all.  So, I'm trying to pace us smile

Every cub scout troop is different and varies too. Allie did daisies and it was not intense. It all depends on your troop leader too.

We do ours through our church but I don't think it starts until 8 years old.

Gavin has no interest in sports either. He loves PE and has fun but does not want to do any sport activities outside of school. He is doing and after school drama class though. :)

Kyle does scouts (he's a bear). They do it once a week. As has been stated, every troop is different in how much they do and how involved it is. I really think it's an excellent program for boys.

we have been in the scout movement forever...
Manuel is on track to become an eagle scout next year.
Diego cross the bridge last summer so he is now officially a tenderfoot.

and Marcos became a tiger (again) a couple of week ago.
i agree that every troop is different but the boys do love their activities. Manuel now have to demonstrate leadership skills and Diego has to be able to learn how to handle the adventure part.

Marcos is just having a lot of fun...

I think Lucas wants to do scouts. His older cousins are in Boy Scouts and he wants to do whatever they do. His oldest cousin just became an Eagle Scout. At his school's PTA meeting last week they said they were sending home info this wen about a local cub scout group. I hope they meet on a night I am off work. I don't know if DH will be up to taking him if not since he would have just gotten off work himself.
