New subject: chicken nuggets.

I have ZERO intention of making homemade chicken nuggets but I can't find any that my kids will eat anymore.

The Tyson ones have changed since Henry was a kid, and now they taste disgusting.

We tried the Banquet ones, and they're also gross.

We don't like ANY spiciness at all, and we don't want a weird squishy gooey texture on the inside.

Have you had good luck with any particular brands of chicken nuggets?

I saw some good reviews on Applegate Farms nuggets but I have a feeling they're going to be pretty expensive since they're gluten-free and stuff.

Robin, I know you don't want to make any homemade, but that may be all your kids will eat

It's not that hard, and then you can season them just like y'all like it, with as little season as possible, kwim?

IDK. My kids are fine with tyson or purdue, though I actually have been considering making and freezing them myself. Of course, the kids will probably complain about that, lol.

I'll keep my ear to the ground though and lyk if I hear of some really good brands!

Do you have a costco there?

We have done one of the following and seem pretty decent.

Kirkland Signature Disney Whole Wheat Chicken Nuggets

Target Pantry Fresh Chicken Nuggets

It is actually very easy to make them. Honestly, you would be surprised if you just made up a batch and then froze them for when needed.

We eat Bell & Evans. They are expensive, but they are good, and so worth it!

yes, these were the others that I could not think of the name. They are more pricey, but very good. They actually were rated one of the best along with the kirkland ones I mentioned.

Do you microwave them? I find the texture to be much better when baked in the oven. We just do the tyson ones.

I buy the Tyson chicken tender ones. Not the actual round nuggets

I only bake them in the oven.

They don't crisp up in the microwave.

Personally I think these are gross, but Mary Beth's favorite chicken nuggets are the Wal-Mart (Great Value) brand ones.  I think she just likes them because they are shaped like McDonalds'.

Our favorite are Tyson honey battered breast tenders - pretty darn good. I'm getting ready to make homemade ones this week with a new batter we got for fish and *really* loved, so I'm going to see if it compliments chicken, too.

The perdue that are in the meat section are pretty good

Otherwise try a store brand, they may have less seasoning
