BB, Beabea, Bebe, Bibi??????

Baby girl will be here in three weeks (if not sooner-I really feel like this kid is coming soon, more about that in my next topic.)

Anyway, her name is Beatrice, Bea for short.  I planned on mainly calling her Bea, but we've all been calling her Bebe/Bibi/BB, whatever, a lot. 

So, how would you spell this nickname.  DH says he'd use the letters - BB, DH also said there was a porn star on Howard Stern a few weeks ago whose name was Bibi (spelled this way - hmmm...wonder how he knew how she spelled her name if he heard her on the radio?confuse)  smile  I like Bebe the best, but don't know if it would get pronounced correctly.  Let me know what you think!

gosh, this is tricky.

i do think that Bibi looks slutty, lmao.

Bebe i would worried would be pronounced "baybay."

i would probably lean toward the initials.

April, I had the same concern about Bebe.  How is the designer clothing brand Bebe pronounced?  Is it pronounced "baybay"?

Technically her initials will be BB anyway, so we could get away with it....

 I'm in total agreement, LOL.

I know a 3 year old named Beatrix whose nickname is Bea.  I love it.  But it gets confusing when our kids play together because the girls are Bea and Pea.  :)

I like it spelled BeBe but initials would work fine too.

I really like the name Beatrice. It's my grandmother's middle name.

I entertained the thought of naming my kids Beatrice (had they been girls) and using "Betsy" as the nn because Betsy was the name I was really wanting.

I would go with the initials. I think it makes more sense that way since that is how you want it pronounced, less confusing. Plus I think nicknames can change as they grow. My Isabel went from Isabel to Bel to Bel Bee to B and now when her teachers send work home that she has done they have usually just drawn a tiny bumblebee in the corner instead of writing her name out for her.

I think I'm leaning toward BeBe, but DH definitely prefers BB.  We'll see...

I like calling her Bea and then just using initials for BB if you call her that.

I think you will all call her BB but how often will you actually write that for her name iykwim?

Most likely you will write Bea or Beatrice
