I am thinking of just getting some fabric and making my own curtains.  however, i don't sew :bag:  i plan to use hemming tape.  but not sure of the type of fabric i can use.  I like this linen but it is the kind that i can use as curtain material?

the other thing i wanted to do was put in a french pleat using these.  anyone have any experience? and also, do you  have any idea how many hooks and tape  i would need?

The fabric you like would work for a curtain. Before you get too far I am going to offer you some suggestions. If you look, you can often find some table cloths that are linen like material. They are hemmed so it makes it much easier to put pleats or just pinch hooks on them. You can also hand sew embellishments or simple ties onto them if you want. Sheets are another way to accomplish this, but obviously, the fabric is different. I have never used the pleat thing you linked. The hardest thing about sewing pleats is the spacing and sewing through the layers of fabric. I have a feeling you would be able to do it without too much of a problem. You rock with all things home decor!

Thanks Libby! I hadn't thought about checking out table cloths - that's a good idea.
