Mason is obsessed with all things Peter Pan right now, thanks to the new Disney show "Jake and the Neverland Pirates". So he asks to watch that, the original Peter Pan, the live action Peter Pan, Return to Neverland, and the 2 Tinkerbell movies that we have on DVR. It's kind of ridiculous.
He really liked the show when it started, but then when he was sick for a few days and the TV was on constantly, he got into the movies too.
He'll also watch Dora and Diego because Peepers is way into them, so that's nice.
We have been watching Tangled A LOT since it came out on DVD! I don't mind though, I think it's a great movie.
I know that a lot of kids in his class are into much "older" shows, so what are your kids watching and how did they get into those shows/movies?
Anything Scooby-Doo. He also likes Cat in the Hat Knows a lot about that, and dinosaur train. I let them watch Phineus and Ferb on Sundays since PBS Kids isn't on and i need to shower.
Tristen like Super Why, Meet the Site Words.
They both like the Leapfrog series.
I'm picky about letting them see much more. They also really don't like full length movies, or anything not animation. I tried to convince them to go see Rio. No way.
Mark loves everything on Nick--iCarly, SpongeBob, Big Time Rush, Victorious, Wow Wow Wubzy, Max & Ruby, Spectacular Spiderman, The Avengers, TUFF Puppy, pretty much anything. He loves TV.
Dominic's favorite show right now is The Magic School bus, it is so old but they show re-runs on Saturdays and he loves it since he loves science. He also likes Curious George and Wow Wow Wubbzy. He also likes to watch the Science Channel with stuff about the planets and earth and How It's Made.
eh. em's not much of a tv watcher. she likes wonder pets and still watches dora and diego. but we got rid of comcast so no more ondemand. we record ni hao kai lan b/c they both love that.
they are both into dinosaur train and cat in the hat.
omg, jake LOOOOVES curious george. and i can't help but wonder if it's b/c they have SO much in common.
jake also likes scooby doo, but emily hates that so he only watches it if she's not around. (i got him a dvd for his easter basket)
he also loves pretty much every movie we show him - megamind, tangled, horton, cloudy with a chance of meatballs, toy story...
Joe loves Scooby Doo and SpongeBob and anything on the Science Channel and NatGeo. He has also started watching Full House cause it is on Nick before the kid stuff starts in a morning. He has also started trying to sneak the Military Channel on when I'm not paying attention, since I don't think it is suitable.
(my dh sometimes puts on things like spongebob or cow & chicken which i don't like them watching but isn't exactly BAD...)
sadly though, he will pretty much watch anything that isn't "a boring grown up show" - he is kind of obsessed with a screen. if he isn't watching tv he wants to play on the computer. it's a battle.
Lucas LOVES all the shows on PBS Kids (Word Girl, Electric Company, Wild Kratts, Sid the Science Kid etc.)
He also loves Spongebob :puke:
Right now he is watching Playhouse Disney (Disney Junior?) Special Agent Oso is on
For awhile he was all into the bigger kids shows (iCarly, Big Time Rush) but since he is the oldest in the house and doesn't have anyone to influence he has brought it down to a more age appropriate level.
She loves Power Rangers, Clone Wars, SpongeBob and Jake and the Pirates.
I just started putting some shows on for Abby and it looks like Meghan's liking Blue Clues, Sesame Street and Backyardigans again but if she knows I told you that, she'd force lightening me.

no flames!!
i was hoping mikey would like star wars. i love star wars.
Adventure Time (a family favorite, as well), Good Luck Charlie (and the Lemonade Mouth movie with the girl from GLC in it), Tangled (I'm with you, ABH. I love it. Totally my new favorite disney movie,) Jake and the Neverland Pirates, The Suite Life On Deck, Phineas and Ferb (I've seen Summer Belongs to You a million times.) Eta that I can't believe I forgot her (and Joe's, tbh, lmao) very favorite show to watch: My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic. If you don't watch that, you totally, totally should.

We're still big P&F fans here, but Mason doesn't watch it very often, unless John is home and he'll put it on because he likes it, LOL. I just got Mason the P&F kicks from Payless yesterday. I wish they had them in my size.
Isn't Tangled better the more you watch it?? I rarely feel that way about a movie, but we watched Tangled at least once a day for about a week and I so didn't mind. AND I downloaded the soundtrack from iTunes and we listen to it in the car.
Mason's favorite scene (or frame, really) is when Rapunzel is singing about what she does all day and gets to the ventriloquy part and uses Pascal's tail to move his mouth. Mason cracks the eff up when that happens.
He also loves in "I've Got a Dream" when they show the puppet show for about a nanosecond.
My favorite part is when she's swinging around the tree saying "BEST.DAY.EVER!"
she still is crazy about scooby doo! but has branched out to Johnny Test, and Jimmy Neutron (boy genius) - i actually think that is a really cute show. she also loves the disney movies and Megamind is her all-time favorite movie. she megamind (she says she is going to marry him...lol)

Yeah, we've seen it a few times.
Absolutely freaking agree.
We did the same thing - in fact, we've had Joe's mom's copy since it came out because I bought it for Hannah's EB and she couldn't/wouldn't part with it. Joe and I laugh hysterical when she's in the woods and goes all bipolar between guilt and happiness about being out. "I'm never going back! I'm a despicable human being!" Ahh, I love it.
I think I can hear a collective sigh during the song about her day, from all the moms around the world, lmao. Love it. Hannah's favorite part is the entire scene of Finn being pushed into her closet and falling out. She loses her shiz every.single.time.

That is gavin's favorite part too. He was laughing so hard at the theatre I was worried he might throw up. We watched it at home and he still laughed like no other. I love it. That is actually my favorite part of these types of things - watching how much gavin enjoyed that made me so happy! It doesn't hurt that the movie is wonderful.
Owe is funy too. He kepts asking me after he had seen it "why does mother know best?"
