some more progress on the DR and a painted dresser!!

Kelly is right...I really need a blog ;)

I wanted to share where I am in my never-ending saga of a Dining room.  I ordered some chairs from West Elm that didn't work out so I am going to order some leather parsons chairs from BB&B (thanks to Kelly for showing them to me)and then use slipcovers from world market. I am then going to get two leather arm chairs for each end of the table.

then, i am going to do bamboo blinds for my bay window (and a panel on each end to frame it) still debating which fabric to use.

also, i was so excited to finally get a handle on this cabinet we  got last year - it has been all over my house and just never looked right.  i am slowly filling it with white dishes. we framed some pics on each side (don has to actually fix them because one side is higher) but happy to have that huge wall taken care of!!

I also painted my old dresser red awhile back and never found a good place for it until I put it in my living room - now i love it!!

oh and i painted my front door black - which i planned to do for awhile but never got around to doing it until now. the rug is from west elm.

here are some pics!!

lizzy, everything looks beautiful as always!

do you have fresh flowers on your dining room table?

i really need something ON my (never used) dining room table b/c it greets you at the front door, but i have no ideas. i love the idea of 3 vases, but idk if i can manage fresh flowers. :/

no...they're not real :bag  but i found them at pier one on clearance and i cut them down to fit in some vases i picked up at walmart.  i love hydrangeas (they are a weakness) and i wish i had some fresh ones but they are so expensive!! even fake ones....when i was buying the vases, i priced them at walmart -$8 a stem!!  I think I got all three of mine for $10.

April, candles always look good - you could do a row of three huricanes like these:

It looks GREAT. (And I agree, you totally need a blog that I can follow on the daily.)

I have to say, I admire your love for doing this. I get one tiny project done around here, and get SO burnt out on dealing with it that it takes me months to finish a room. (Or, uhm...cough...years.)

You've got a great eye. I am so beyond jealous.

Thanks Leah!! It means alot coming from you - I am so jealous of your photo wall.  That takes a ton of skill and patience.  I did a small one and I about wanted to pull my hair out ;)

Yes, but it's been dead for the past 5 months. cry.gif Moving killed it.

Seriously, if you want to do it it's really easy. I'll help, just let me know.
