Keurig is the way to go. If he is not a huge coffee drinker it is perfect and cheap. Plus, you can do teas, hot chocolate, etc. You can make ice tea drinks in summer, etc.
It is perfect for a one cup in the morning guy. No worry about brewing. Just put the cup in and hit a button!
Just saw this deal on slickdeals...http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=2642753 Not sure if it is still good but I only have a little bit of time so I thought I'd post it really quickly.

now which model should I get? I was looking at an old thread. Looks like most of you have the platinum. How about the mini?
mini is a PITA.
it doesn't have a tank, so you have to pour in water EVERY time you brew a cup.
i had one on our boat and it's fine for tight quarters, but for daily use, i wouldn't recommend it.
i have the elite and it's good. the only thing i wish it had was the iced coffee feature. if he doesn't drink that, he'd probably be fine with the elite.
