So next monday is the 100th day of school. There throwing a huge party.

Each kid is supposed to bring in a hundred of something that is made into something that they can count.

One example she gave was 100 pennies made to look like abe lincoln on a poster board.

I am so not creative and K is so excited so I want to do something fun and decent.

Any ideas?

I wouldn't stress too much. I would go with something small and make it into something easy. Maybe cotton balls made into clouds? What about some kind of macaroni made into something? Does it have to relate like the pennies/abe lincoln example?

What about doing popsicle sticks and making a house? Macaroni necklace?

it doesnt have to be related. But they want to be able to count the objects in the item so a cloud would be hard. But super easy to make LOL.

kids here just honestly keep it simple with that and bring in a 100 of what they want ie: pennies, rubber bands, etc. It cannot be too crazy since it is a 100 of something.

100 cotton colored cotton balls put on poster board with a pic of ice cream cone.

Junie had a macaroni necklace above and the popsicle sticks

My friend just did this with her daughter. She bought those foam stick on hearts, and used 100 of them various sizes to make a big heart. Turned out really cute :)

Cute! I thought it was a really good idea, and was really inexpensive. They toyed around with other ideas, but it can get kinda pricey

Mark's 100th day of school is next Friday, I think. They're having a celebration, and each kid is supposed to wear something with 100 somethings on it. They're going to have a fashion show.

The examples they suggested were: 100 buttons on a sweatshirt or hat; pennies hot glued to a hat, cap, or shirt; a macaroni necklace with 100 noodles; a 100-bead necklace, etc.

I was thinking buttons on a poster might work well for her project, especially since you could shape them into anything.

Mark wants to put 100 dots on a t-shirt for his 100-thing. His shirt, his choice.

Just did this with Natalie. She did 100 butterfly stickers in the shape of a butterfly. So easy and fun.

I think Robin mentioned it, but making a necklace with 100 beads would be easy and something she would probably like.

You could do a color theme and do something like 100 pink objects.

You could make a giant K out of 100 beads, stickers, stamps, hearts, or just about anything.

Make 100 paw prints using a stamp or sticker and have them lead to a cat, dog, or whatever animal paw print it is.

Make 100 music notes and have it lead to an instrument.

Staple, glue, tape or fasten in some way 100 cut out paper flowers to pipe cleaners for stems to make a bouquet.

those are great ideas!

SG's has to be on a poster board, and I don't want to spend a ton of money.  I was thinking of a "love" theme since it was close to Valentine's day, but I've seen some other really great ideas in this thread!

A 100 feather skirt. Raven's class can bring in 100 items that can fit in a bag or dress like they are 100 years old.

When Braydon was in K we used 100 Cheerios to make the number 100.

I always just do a hundred of something and make it into the number 100.

Stickers are best, no glue involved.

But I usually take the easy way out.

Not a creative bone in my body.
