Not-so-favs: any board game, any puzzle, any book, any article of clothing.

Clara loves her sylvanian families grand hotel and all the teeny accessories and animals.

And the surprise... Zhu zhu hamsters! I picked up a few at a walmart this past summer cause they were on sale plus some of the "habitat" kits- and man oh man. The dogs chase the hamsters and even cate has fun with them.

I just picked up the princess habitat pieces and the dogs and dog house habitat pieces ( they were in our target toy sale section!) and man will she be stoked! ( now I just have to break down the boxes and figure a way to efficiently pack them in my suitcases)

Also got her a pair of gold Flamenco heeled shoes. They are decorated with diamond crystals and ribbons- found them in the louvre gift shop costume area... She wears those damn heels all.the.time. (you can see them in the christening photos I posted in facebook... She wore a white dress, red stockings and these gold heels. Lmao.

surprisingly, mason's favorite is his doggy pillow pet.  he carries it around with him everywhere he goes.  he thinks that he comes alive and plays with our real dog while he is at school, lmao.  he LOVES that thing.

he was really into the zhu zhu pets too for the first week, but it is dying off now.  he is still playing with them, just not a ton.

Favorites: Zoobles (really they were the huge hit this year), BFC, Ink dolls (from Santa), Barbie Vet Station (half from Joe's grandparents, and the other half with allowance she'd been saving), TS3 Action Links, Charm It! Charm Bracelet, Barbies, LPS vet center... basically anything that in any way involved animals or their care., Batcave... Lets just say I'm glad she got what she got because it's given me some time I haven't had before.

Not-so-favorites: Pixos (which is fine, I got them on crazy clearance, and it's partially my fault that she isn't enjoying them because I haven't wanted to deal with them yet.), dvd of James and the Giant Peach (she flat out hated, lol.)

Hit: Wii, matchbox cars, Big Foot

Not so much: pretty much everything else. At my house he mostly got books, clothes, and craft/art stuff. I know he'll get a lot of use out of that stuff but he isn't like clamoring to open it ASAP.

The boys loved everything this christmas! I made a huge effort to really try and stick to what they wanted and what I knew they would love and not go overboard. It really paid off. I'm trying to think of things they didn't really like and I'm having trouble!

They got pillow pets - which they love. They each got their own batcave (they are different) and accessories. They loved those. My mom got them the kinect and a train table - which they also really love. Gavin got an optimus prime he wanted and owen got a little woody/bullseye set which he loved so much he broke within a few days and I just finally found another one a week or so again to replace it.

I made an effort to get a lot of different things that I was pretty sure they would like and it worked out well. I don't feel like we wasted money on anything this year. I did have one gift - travel glow station that I realized would be forgotten on christmas. I ended up giving it to them during the break and they loved it. They played with it a ton and still do and I'm glad I didn't throw it in with christmas stuff because I doubt they would have even played it to see that they like it. :)

I did that for the first time this year.  Most of her stuff was a polly pocket/disney princess theme.  The little disney princess homes w/dolls, polly pocket home, RV, pool, etc.  I love polly pocket size stuff.  She got more loving family furniture and people.  Her favorite was probably Bullseye and a Toy Story book/game combo.

Mason loves his razor scooter, school playset, Corduroy bear, Pinocchio DVD, Moon Dough, Phineas and Ferb lunchbox, and Legos.

He was excited about his gingerbread man felt storyboard (they had been reading the book in his class, and his teacher gave him the book for Christmas), but I don't think he's played with it once.

I actually did really well for him, because I REALLY didn't want to get him stuff that just takes up space.

The surprising miss was Peepers' Pillow Pet.  She was with me when I got it for her (it was from Mason), and was really excited then, but doesn't even touch it.

Her doll house, tea set, and play food have all been used a lot by both kids, usually together.  :)

Mark loves his lion pillow pet and uses it as his pillow at night. He also tells everyone that he loves his Kung Zhu hamsters (and Battle Arena) but he doesn't play with them very much. He super-loves this cool light-up r/c car that my aunt got him from the home-shopping channel. I'd say that's his #1 favorite gift. He also really loves his [girl] Ninja costume that I got at WM after Halloween for $1.25. I took it out of the package so he wouldn't know it was for girls. It's a red satin robe-looking thing with a sash and a red and black headband that ties behind his head. He got a boy Ninja costume too and will mix and match the pieces. I guess what he plays with most is his set of Lincoln Logs that came with a train track and train. So glad Santa brought that!

Misses: the books with accompanying cds. He likes to listen to those but he hasn't listened to one of the 6 or so he got for Christmas. Maybe if we go on a trip sometime . . . ? A dragon Webkinz. Hated that.

Henry's #1 favorite gift was Super Mario Brothers for the Wii. He also really likes his Bop It! game. And he really likes his Nick! Scene It? game too.

Carter simply adores all of his Battle Force 5 cars that he so very much wanted. (Poor third child is forced to watch cartoons way out of his age range.) He doesn't love his electric guitars (yes 2).

My Mom made Kaylin the pink Cinderella dress (you know the one the mice made) and she loves that. She's played some with her Barbie house, Zhu Zhu pets and new Princess Barbies.

Braydon's favorite by far is the Wii. Kaylin loves it too. She got Let's Dance Kids and Braydon loves his Battle Force 5 game. They have tons of fun creating new Miis too. Braydon has also spent lots of time with his Bakugon Battle Arena and new Bakugons.
