Starting infertility meds tomorrow
Permalink

So here is a little update. We stared trying in August. I have PCOS so never started my period so I made a DR appointment. I went to Dr on 11/18 and then got a referal to specialist this past thursday. He put me on provera and clomid. I haven't started them yet, thinking in the morning. It just seems so real now.

Before we were just trying to see if it would happen on it's own... now it is a tiny bit overwhelming keeping track of everything especially since the DR wrote down which days we need to have sex.

Oh, and we asked Lucas what he thinks about having a little brother or sister and he said that he doesn't want one. He wants an older brother.

Well, here goes nothing!

Good luck, Kari!!! I am hoping and praying that the meds work for you, and quickly. I was talking with my cousin this weekend who was in town. She also has PCOS, and it has been so hard on her. She had surgery to remove fibroids I guess, before she got pg with her daughter, but they have to do IVF and recently used the last of her frozen embryos. Just talking with her, it made me realize how difficult it is dealing with PCOS and everything that comes along with it. She has also talked to me about the painful periods she has endured and all-I just can't imagine what you ladies have had to go through.

Sorry for making that about my cousin. I am praying for you-and I am sure Lucas will be excited when the time comes, lol. He will be a great big brother!!

One of my really good friend's has a cousin with PCOS as well and we were talking one day and comparing stories. She is now past her child baring years and was never able to have children and she started crying wishing me luck having a second one. She was so sweet. I felt a little guilty, like maybe I should just be happy that I was blessed with one child.

Provera to get my period to start and then on the 5th day of my cycle clomid. I'm also supposed to take mucinex as well. I didn't start today but for sure tomorrow. It says to not drive until you see how the meds affect you because they can make you sleepy and screw with your vision so I had to go to church this morning. I don't have to do any where really Mon or tues so I can see how I handle them.

That is really sad. I don't think wanting another child makes you any less grateful or thankful for the one you have. Each child is a special blessing and I hope and pray that things work out quickly for you.
