Strep Throat- Suggestions?

Lucky me that 2 days before Thanksgiving I would come down with strep throat.
I'm on antibiotics and I know I need to let them kick in.
But any suggestions on how to squash the pain? I can barely drink let alone drink. I've been sipping clear liquids with a straw.

Oddly enough, I can't recall ever having strep. I have Theraflu b/c DH thought it might be a bad cold or the flu with the body aches I have been having. I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Oh my goodness! Strep throat on Thanksgiving sounds terrible! I have no advice but I just wanted to say I am SO sorry you are dealing with that! How terrible. Do they have any pain medicine that just melts on your tongue? I hope the pain goes away quickly. *hugs*

Gargle w/ hot water and sea salt and take motrin

definitely motrin!

I found out a few years ago how well motrin can help a sore throat. It's that whole decreasing inflamation thing.
