So, I'm supposed to bring in something healthy for M2's halloween party on Friday.

Any suggestions?

Hmmmm. Something healthy that the kids will actually eat?

Some kind of wheat crackers? Whole-grain Ritz or triscuits?

In every grade, the kids in Henry's class have always eaten up fruit--grapes or cut-up strawberries.

Also they like cubed cheese.

Robin, it's something to put in their goody bags to take home, so I'm not sure about fruit, or cheese.

Granola bars are a good idea.

I told M2 to think about it today also. We'll see what he comes up with too! I'll let him have the final words, but I want to give him some suggestions!

they have out little bags of halloween pretzels.

healthy is kind of hard if it is going into a TOT bag.

Goldfish packets

The only other thing I can think of (which isn't necessarily healthy but no candy) are the individual packs of crackers (cheese, PB, PB&J) or the ones that have the cracker sticks with cheese.

I think both of these ideas are good.  I wish we could do a halloween party at school.

i know in Allie's class a lot of the kids bring halloween pencils, stickers, etc. instead of candy to pass out? That is a thought?

I bought that giant thing of Disney miniture playing cards (crazy 8s, go fish etc) from Costco.  If you arent looking for snacks, maybe that would be fun?

We are going to give them out for Halloween. I was laughing when I checked out that I was going to be THAT house that wasnt giving out candy.  The checker laughed and was like, that house is fine, at least you arent the house that is giving out the little cards that tell you to go to church 'cause Halloween is evil.  No offense to anyone that does, but that made me feel better.  lol.

Thanks for all the ideas!! We went with raisins and goldfish. The pencils, stickers, etc. would have been good also. However, the mom that is organizing the party asked me to bring a healthy treat, so maybe she asked another mom for those things?

M2 wanted to take fruit!! Kind of hard for a treat bag though!
