I thought about putting this in the recipe section but was afraid no one would see it.  So inquiring minds want to know what's cooking in your kitchen.  Have any really good recipes?  What hits the spot with you?  Anything fast and easy?  Spill it! biggrin

Chili!! It seems like we never make it quite the same way twice, but it's always good!

I really don't use the crock pot much, but I did cook a cranberry pork roast a while ago that was so good

But the cooler weather has made me cook red beans and rice (the Lousiana version), chicken and dressing and taco soup will be coming shortly

We haven't moved to crock pot yet since it has been to hot to cook or enjoy foods like that til yesterday. However I have been putting layers of sliced potato, onion, apple/pears and carrotts onto a sheet of aluminium foil and putting a couple pork chops on the top then double wrapping it and putting it out in the grill on super low for about an hour. Last time I even put halved brussell sprouts in there too and the kids were wolfing them down.

I made a meatloaf in the crockpot today.  I've never tried it before but ran across a recipe.

I didn't so much like the meatloaf - it was okay but I'm going to use my own recipe (which is actually John's grandma's recipe) and just put that into the crockpot next time.

It had to cook on low for 8-10 hours which is just perfect since I'm gone for 10.5 hours - I just had DS1 turn it off just before 5:00 p.m. and it was still hot when we got home and ready to eat at 6:30 ish.
