Hello everyone.

its been a long day. It was supposed to be an easy week but our car has to be registered by wednesday and it failed the smog check today. It could be like 4 things and I dont know if we have time to check all of it.

How is everyone today?

Hey! I am good. Had work training all morning. Went to lunch afterwards with some co-workers/friends and it was so nice! Nice to vent and realize I am not crazy about certain things.

Hi Tracy!

I'm traveling today. I'll likely have to stay here until Wednesday. Sounds good in some ways but I'm a bit tired of it.

Im starting bathtime hours early today. Id rather not have to think about it later. So K is in the bath now and Ill get the boys done before dinner hopefully.

Im really hoping to clean a ton today. Im starting to get in that nesting phase and should really take advantage of it.

hello!

it is rainy and crappy here today. freezing cold too, yet the end of last week was humid and 80%. crazy new england weather.

i have been slaving away over homemade chicken noodle soup all day that my family probably won't even eat.

grace was teetering between being the statue of liberty or pinkalicious for halloween and pinkalicious won out today.

i'm thrilled...we already have a pink pouffy dress, a star wand, and a crown (tyvm pinkalicious 3rd birthday).

now, if the other one would make up his mind already.

Corey - sounds super cute. We finally picked too. Once the costume was bought they were so excited they haven't thought about changing their minds. Gavin is going to be Iron Man and Owen is going to be Super Man. So cute! With Owen's black hair and blue eyes I think it will be super cute!

I'm really shocked how much Sheldon on Big Bang reminds me of Charlie.

Not the smartness but the rest of it, shocking really.

Hi Everyone!

Elizabeth wants to be a red or blue t rex. I have not had much luck with that. I am hoping if I take her somewhere that has lots of costumes she will decide that it is okay to be a green one or something else.

Sonya, I have watched Big Bang and while it is amusing it's hard for me to watch. I know it's an exaggeration, but since I know some and am married to that specific type of geek, it often seems way over the top to me. I do have to say that some of their references to Star Trek are pretty true. lmao.gif

I am pretending I have been productive. Dh is working late and I don't feel like doing much. Elizabeth has been forced to play instead of watch a dvd though. That counts as good parenting, right?

I too, would like to hear how things are going for April.

Today I went grocery shopping and made a menu that will allow us to actual squeeze some meals into our lives. I'm not sure when our schedule got so hectic but it has made it next to impossible to have dinner together as a family ever!

DS1 has karate on Monday and Wednesday from 5:00-8:00, Thur from 6:20-7:15 and Fridays from 4:30 to 9:00 oh and Saturdays from 10:30-1:30. Getting him there and back comingled with preparing dinner and getting my other kids to bed at their 8:00 p.m. bedtime is proving to be difficult!

Kate started gymnastics last Monday night from 6:30-7:00 over by where she goes to daycare. So I pick them up at 5:30 and have to stay there b/c there is not enough time to get home and back so we eat out.

Jake is wanting to try karate too but I'm taking him some place different from John and that will be Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. That means our only free day will be Sunday.

When did this happen?!

so I bought a few round steaks and cut them up to make beef stroganoff and beef stew. Tons of chicken and made a chicken pot pie that we can just pop in the oven one night. I got a pork roast to make bbq pulled pork and a beef roast. I'm planning tons o crockpot meals in our future!

I love fall b/c it means I can make soup!

I make the most ridiculously easy soup that everyone here loves.

I put beef stew meat in the crockpot with 2 cans of beef broth before I leave for work at 7:15 a.m.  It cooks until 3:15 when DS1 gets home.  I have cans of green beans, diced potatoes, carrots, corn, peas and I have him open them and dump them in.  When we all get home it's done.  I make some hawaiin bread and that is dinner and everyone (except Jake) eats it up.

I've thought about varying it a bit with chicken.  Having Ds1 add the veggies at 4:00 ish and then me adding noodles when I get home so we have chicken noodle soup.
