Adult Halloween Costume Ideas?

So, we got invited to a Halloween party. Costumes optional but I don't want to be the only people there not dressed up, ya know? So, what are some ideas we could do as a couple? I wouldn't wear anything super skimpy but I also want a "cute" costume. Any ideas?

Mario and Princess Peach

Tarzan and Jane

Superman and Loise Lane

Ok... I may have to come back to this. The question sounded easy until I tried coming up with ideas LOL.

There are so many couple possibilities:

Cookies and milk
Salt and pepper
Pitch Fork Farmer couple
Toothbrush and Toothpaste
Dress up as each other (you know switch roles)
Pirate and first mate
King and Queen
Elmo and Zoey
Fred and Wilma
Tom and Jerry
Coyote and Road runner
Monkey and Banana
Bo Peep and a sheep

Thanks to my brother and his many halloween costumes from the past, I can think of some others, but they are um.... less wholesome. I am guessing you don't want to go down that road.
