Lucas is into Super Heroes right now.... as soon as he comes home from school he starts taking his uniform off and he is in one of his super hero costumes. His favorites are Captain America, Batman, and Superman.

We just moved into our house in March and he was still crazy about trains so we did his whole room in Thomas the train. Now he is BEGGING for a super hero room.... so much so that he pulled down some things he had hanging on the wall because he didn't want them in his room anymore.

Mark has been in love with super heroes for about 3 years now. Maybe longer.

He still loves to dress up in costumes all the time. Yesterday Tarzan was on the Disney channel, and Mark requested that I find his boxer briefs in his drawer so he could pretend to be Tarzan.

Mark also loves any and all craft-type projects--painting, tie-dying, clay, play-doh, markers, anything that's messy.

He doesn't really have any obsessions right now.  He used to be crazy about firemen and fire trucks and then it turned into all kinds of rescue/emergency themes.  I think he is between obsessions right now though cause he is getting into dinosaurs now too.  And we just became members at the planetarium/observatory last week cause he was showing an interest.

Oh and he is always looking at this 'How the body works' type book we got a few months ago.

She loves to sing, dance, dress-up, cars, polly pockets, animals, mud, arts and crafts. She acts out everything. She will watch a show/movie and dress up and play along with what she is watching. She sings all the time. It use to be just loud singing and now she sounds really good. Her favorite right now is Fall Out Boy. I blame her brother.

Charlie has never been obsessed with things. He likes super heros (wearing them on his shirts). Bakugan, Tech Decks (skateboards), dinosaurs (really, he just likes watching Dinosaur Train) are all fun but certainly not obsessions.

My nephew is here right now and is obsessed with cars. He lines them up, plays all day, has to tell you all the names etc. Charlie and Josie never did that at all.

(he's almost 2).

Clara is into drawing on blank paper.

And any imaginative play.

ya'll probably saw how she a few days back turned a big stick into her imaginary cousin by taping construction paper for head, limbs, clothes etc (complete with some mcdonalds french fries in her hand LMAO)

Yesterday i had some boxes arrive, stuff i mailed from the US a few weeks back - 4 big fed-ex boxes.  she took 2 and clearly instructed me how she wanted them taped together and cut up, then we covered it in pink and purple construction paper and she drew all over it - it was a boat  that she could get into and "sail"  and we even had to use construction paper to make it pointy in the front.

then she got dressed up and played mermaid swimming around the boat.

never had a child with so much imagination!

Jillian is a 14 year old trapped in a 5 year old body lmao (ask Kristi!) She's into iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place, Sonny with a Chance, Victorious etc (should I be embarrassed those are all TV shows? lol) She LOVES music (Selena Gomez is a big fave of hers) and to sing and dance. She takes a gym/dance class and has been for a few years now and is really into that.

She also loves to play dress up, with makeup etc.. she always has her purse and sunglasses with her. She's such a diva. She's so picky with her hair, how it's done and her outfit everyday. I'm crying for myself thinking about teenage years. lol.

She also loves Zhu Zhu pets and barbies.

God help us.

Hannah's biggies right now are still Littlest Pet Shops, Barbies, and the new addition of Tech Decks. But she dabbles in a lot of other interests depending on the day, lol.

I'm sure you'll all be surprised to hear that Gavin is into Transformers. Still. I actually don't mind at all. He is so good at transforming them and has a lot of fun. It's not just the toys though - him and Owen play all the time (pretend play) as different characters and have a ball.

In fact he just said, "mommy, let's talk about the combiner Optimus."

This is Nolan to a T.  Although his favorite songs right now are My Love Is Your Drug by Kesha and All the Single Ladies my Beyonce.  I blame myself. lol!

Seriously though, this kid is going to be an actor or something.  He is always playing a part of some sort.

Mason is still obsessed with Phineas and Ferb, to the point where it's the only show he ever wants to watch, and Peepers dances to the theme song because she's heard it so many times.

He also loves to play Mario Kart on the Wii, and Wii Sports Resort.  His favorites are 100-pin bowling, tennis, and basketball.

He's obsessed with the book "Corduroy", because it's his class's mascot.  So he insists on having it read to him every night, and frequently "A Pocket For Corduroy" or "Corduroy Goes to School".

He loves writing names he knows (Mason, Mommy, Daddy, Meme) and drawing pictures of our family.  But never with crayon, because crayons are for babies, LOL.  He's a marker-using fool.

And last but not least, he loves lining up all his Cars cars on the top of the banister upstairs.  I need to take a picture of that, because I love it when he just leaves it there.  Anyone sitting below it is going to be seriously hurt in the event of an earthquake, but I can't bring myself to move them.

LOL! Luckily, her attitude most of the time is really good. She just is such a diva. I mean she for SURE has her moments..mostly when her brother is pissing her off by doing something she doesn't want him to do *eye roll*

But seriously God help us lol.

That's how Jillian is. She will be in entertainment for SURE whether it's acting, singing or dance. She is so into all of that. They have a little drama club at her school that I want to get her involved in.

Her favorite songs are all of the songs from Glee, Hey Soul Sister by Train, and all of the Selena Gomez songs and various other pop songs she probably shouldn't sing.

Chickie, Jillian is obsessed with the other Kesha song... "brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack..."   oops. lmao

lmao!  Nolan would be hooked on that one too.  I magically erased it from my ipod when I realized how good he was and remembering all the words. lol!  Doesn't look too good when he sings that stuff at church. lol!

I also erased hot and cold by Katy Perry

"you PMS like a bitch..."  I didn't even realize that's what it said until he started singing it all the time.  too funny

ALSO, I  totally forgot about Hey Soul Sister.  His second fave of all time.  I super love Train and hope he continues this trend. :)

I should try watching glee this year.  I've never seen it and feel like it's another "great" that I've missed out on from the beginning.

Koda loves Batman and has requested the batcave for Christmas.  I wouldn't call it an obsession though.  He really likes them, but also has recently gotten very into legos.  At the same time, he still loves all his matchbox cars and though the wooden trains are not an everyday thing anymore, I would say they are a 1-2X a week thing (Tristen would be daily).

Pirates was a short phase (figures, since he sunk money into it for his birthday...I wish wecould redict which things will stick).

For shows, we've massively cut back on TV, so he doesn't even know what is on for the most part.  When he gets to pick, he will usually ask for an old scooby doo episode since we have several seasons on DVD.  In the morning, he gets stuck with whatever is on Disney or PBS for the 20 minutes I need to get ready- I'm not sure it is even the same thing each day :)

He LOVES books that have to do with the titanic (seriously, no idea why) and castles.  I can't  even count the number of times we've taken the same books on those subjects out of the library, lol.

That is interesting how some kids get obsessed with things and others don't. Lucas seems to go from one obsession to the other... first it was Veggie Tales, then Thomas the Train for a couple years and Phineas and Ferb and now Super Heroes.

omg...how adorable!!  so funny, but ivy did a similar thing with the box...she made it into a boat and drew a mural on the box.  the only thing is i don't have room for this huge box in my house, so i tried to say i  would cut out the pics and lay them flat, ya know....no way, she was not having anything to do with that.

so, what did you do with clara's boat?
