I wish I saw this earlier.

Lucas's bus is fixed. I have issue with the time and where they are picking him up but I will fight that over the next week. At least he has a bus now.

I'm working on the Halloween line this week.

Bows, Dresses, skirts, t-shirts

I should have one of everything done by the end of the weekend and can take custom orders with shipping the 1st week of October.

Is there anything anyone specifically wnats to see, besides spider bows

hi everyone.

we're home from the zoo and the kids are laying down for naps. emily has to be at school from 3:15-4pm for assessments, so i will have to wake them up around 2:30 or so.

i have been running a fever since late last night and i feel like crap.

mel - i wanted to tell you that i definitely understand how scaring the proposition of moving to an entirely new place is. we did that multiple times, as you know. looking back on it now, i know that it had a tremendous impact on my strength and character and also made me a better mother. and i know that matt is very successful with his job and has given us a life we would not have had otherwise. when i met him, he was making $6.50 an hour teaching himself to write HTML to build a website for a magazine publisher. now he makes a great salary and has a lot of respect in his industry. feel free to message me anytime to vent or talk or whatever. heart.gif

I'm working from home today.  That was not the plan - the plan was I dropped off David & Natalie at school and I went to work.  I barely got a chance to place my butt on my office chair when my cell phone rings.  Its the school saying Natalie has a slight fever and says she's not feeling well.  cry

Went to pick her up but according to my thermometer at home, she has no fever.  But she's definitely being dramatic about "not feeling well".  She did plenty of these "not feeling well" fiascos when she was in Preschool so now I'm starting to think she's fibbing.

I think I will.

For now, I'm on my computer "working" and she's laying down.  She says she's bored but I told her if she's sick she can't watch TV, she can't play video games, she can't play with her dog.  So she's bored to death - but I don't want to make her sick day a "fun day at home", ya know what I mean?  no

Agreed.
Let her be bored...
She is probably just asking for attention but if you let her come home to play she is just going to do it when she feels like it.

Hello!

I just got Henry's first folder with some actual test grades.

Science test - 70. That's the one we used last year's study techniques to study. He may have done better if we'd started a day earlier but the study guide came home the day before the test. I'm not thrilled with 70 but I bet it would have been worse if we hadn't studied like we did.

Social Studies (test?) - 65. Henry told me about this test the day after he took it. There was no mention of a test at all. I didn't even realize they had started SS yet. Communication issue? So I guess I will request a conference. I'd like to go ahead and get working on Henry's school/study habits asap.

The rest of his grades (daily work) were good--all A's and B's. I'm THRILLED with that.

Allison - I hope you make tons of money on your Halloween bows.

April - Feel better. I hate trying to have fun with my kids when I feel like cr@p.

Mel - I saw April's post about you possibly moving. Did Rob hear back after his interview?

Hi, Libby and Alexandra!

I'm having a really good today despite some pretty severe pain in my head, neck, shoulder, lower back.

I sorted through some coupons this morning while watching all my dvr'd episodes of Criminal Minds. Then I watched one dvr episode of Without a Trace.

I had some chicken noodle soup and a cheese tortilla for lunch.

After that, I went to help the kindergarteners in the lunch-line in the cafeteria. I was supposed to help a kid in Mark's class with his letters but that kid was absent today so I got to read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to the class. Then I helped the kids make coconut trees with the letters in their names falling down them, and I taped them to the wall outside the classroom.

I left there and got two Special Dark candy bars. I got home and ate them while watching today's DOOL. Then I went back to school and got the kids. They're having a snack and watching SpongeBob.

Somewhere in all of that, I did some laundry.

It was pretty nice, just relaxing at home this morning and watching TV.

My dvr only had about 30% remaining the other day so I thought I'd better watch my hour-long shows and delete them.

I have 3 or 4 more Without a Trace episodes to go, then all of MY shows will be gone.

Well, except Undercover Boss but I thought Glen might actually watch those with me.
