moving to colorado, they looked over her IEP and decided they want to redo it becuase she has accomplished MOST of the goals and objectives on there from april!!!!!
they also said she's transitioning tremendously well to the new school. last year we struggled to get her to follow the routine and leave the classroom with the therapists for therapy. they said she's doing perfectly with the routine and is happy to be in the room with the therapists or leave with them. yay!
they also said she's socializing well and isn't hovering near the adults anymore. those were huge concerns for us last year so i'm glad to hear that she's not having those issues so far this year!
i'm SO SO happy to hear that she's doing so well. she is so sensitive and i've been so worried about how she would do with her world turned upside down. she just LOVES school and i'm so tremendously proud of her. :)
That is so great April! You know, kids are amazing and they pick up on our vibes so much. Maybe because Colorado is where your heart is, Em senses that, so that makes her feel more at ease about all the changes going on in her world.
Or maybe I'm over thinking it, lol. Either way, it's GREAT news
She's a trooper! What great news that she's doing so well. She's a sweetheart, so I'm glad she's coming out of her shell, but she isn't losing her compassionate nature.
April, my heart is just overflowing reading this!!! I am so happy for you and your gorgeous girl. You should be the proudest mama there is right now!!!
WTG Emily! Thats fabulous news! I am so glad the move back to Colorado is working out for all of you. Sounds like Emily is really spreading her wings now. : )
