Has anyone ever taken Oracea?

I was prescribed this for my rosacea but hate to take a drug that I know nothing about.

It mentions that I need to talk to my dr. if I'm on birth control or a low sodium diet which I am.

I just don't like that the PA at my derm's office is prescribing stuff for me.

I'm going to call the pharmacist and do some more research but I thought I'd check to see if anyone had expreience with it.

I guess it's a tetracycline antibiotic.

I was on tetracycline for acne when I was in college. The only thing I remember having to be extra careful with sun exposure.

 You know, I asked them specifically about that and she said that it isn't a problem because it's such a low dose but still, that bothers me.

I think I've decided not to take it.

I'm going to try the 52 other creams and lotions that they gave me first and if that doesn't work I'll revisit.
