I feel like this is the slowest pregnancy ever. I know this is because I found out wicked early and we told people pretty early too.
This week should fly by and next week should be pretty quick too. Then I have an appt. the 18th and we make the appt for the big ultrasound after that one. I'll be 20 weeks on my birthday and once school starts time will go quick too. But right now 14.5 weeks seems like nothing LMAO.
we had the kids birthday party yesterday and I'm exhausted.
we did a beach party and we invited both daycare classes (18 and 27 kids) + families and siblings.
It is a long weekend so we got a small (relatively) group of people.
There were 20 kids all together and their parents. It went SO well.
I kept it really moderate - the only real loot we did was a dollar store beach ball. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on junk.
We did fresh veggies and dip and a few bottles of juice for the food.
I was going to make cupcakes and then i came to my senses and bought two store bought cakes. I let charlie pick since he wanted cupcakes and all was perfect.
The beach has a picnic area so we lucked out getting a table. gave the kids the beach balls as they arrived and set them loose on the grassy area.
they had a blast. Then we did cake and hit the beach.
It was a perfect day and everyone asked us to make it an annual event.
we didn't do gifts - we asked for a food bank donation (i feel like you can't invite 40 people + and ask for presents).
Hannah stayed overnight with my mom after we had her birthday cookout at my sister's. I forgot she had a well-check, so I was hoping to get tons of stuff done to prep for her friend party this weekend, but that isn't going to happen. Hopefully my mom doesn't slip and tell Hannah why her plans for the day are cancelled, because if she tells Hannah that she's going to the doctor, she knows she's getting her Kindergarten shots when she goes, and my mom will not be able to handle the kind of fit she may throw.
I did clean out the van and finally found my Ipod that had been missing for months. Hannah will be excited about that. Also found Joe's DS, and Hannah's game that I thought had been left at my mom's, and was panicking about because my mom said she hadn't seen them. Did I mention my van was freaking disgusting? I filled up an entire outside trashcan. Barfola.
Leah, you inspired me to clean out my car. I filled a garbage bag and did not find a single exciting thing.
i bet my car was grosser than your van.
it's still filled with sand but there is no reason to clean that until after beach season.
lmao.
The sad thing is that it's not like I haven't cleaned my van in 5 months. I just didn't throughly clean it, I guess, and usually for me, "cleaning" mainly consists of me taking things from the main part of the van to the trunk and vacuuming the main part, lol.
I've maybe put groceries in the trunk twice. I'm looking forward to doing that. Usually I just put them under Hannah's feet, lol. Horrible.
Frig, I just remembered I have stow n' go, and that has GOT to be nasty. I can't even remember the last time I got in there, but I'm sure it's full of stuff from one of the times I cleaned and didn't have room to stash bags in the trunk. Oh well, that'll have to wait for another day.
I also found $60 in change.
Yeah, that's all exciting, but honestly it's gross that my car was that bad that all that stuff was just hanging out.

anyway, that was my long post for the day.
Sonys, that is awesome! My goal in life is to have some gathering that my friends and family want to be an annual event. We dont have much in the way of family traditions, and I soooo want my kids to have some. The beach party sounds fantastic!
I love the food bank donation. A friend of mine collected kids books (as in, everyone just bring a book or two that you no longer read or want) and then donated them to the women's/kids shelterin town. I thought that was a great idea also and need to remember it for next year.

Our Pilot is also trashed. Kyle and I argue over who has to take it in the mornings. lol. I cleaned it out a few days ago, but never got it washed or vaccuummed (sp?!) Now it smells funny. Barf. I mean not like barf, but, it makes me want to.
add that to the unending list of things that I need to do that I havent. Our house is a disaster, I have errands that havent been run in ages, etc. I cant keep up....
