Talk to me Tuesday Chat

It appears Cocktail chat is busy but someone should come out here and talk to me biggrin

I'm home sick. I have bronchitis and a sinus infection.

Joe is off doing his drug test for the original job.  If I feel a little better when he gets back I am making him take me to get lunch LOL

LL, I hope you start feeling better. I am guessing you went to the doc and have some meds now. After all, that baby does need you to get oxygen.

I sometimes get jittery from my inhailer and breathing treatments with Mr. Neb.

Yeah the dr. warned me that it may make me feel like I was having an anxiety attack. It's not that bad but my heart definitely beats all funny.

I had never seen this dr. before (maybe he wasn't there when I had Lucas??) but he was super nice and funny. I think it's awesome that I have yet to find a dr. or midwife in my practice that I don't like.  (well actually I hated my midwife when I had Lucas but she is not there anymore LOL)

The boys and I went to a sprinkler park (in Collierville, Libby) this morning with some friends.

We took a picnic lunch. The kids played in the sprinklers then played on this huge handicapped-accessible playground. There were tons of ramps and huge swings that looked like roller-coaster seats.

Since we've been home, I've showered, done 3 science experiments with the kids, started dough in my new bread machine, started the grill, made cornbread for dressing, made cornbread dressing . . .

driven around the corner to my mom's house to get a can of cream of celery soup, restarted the grill, fed the kids a second lunch, fed Mark a third lunch, . . .

Robin, that sprinkler park sounds like fun! I hear you talk about these things and it really makes me want to go back there. I need to figure out a time when I can convince dh to go. I would try to talk him into his birthday, but I don't think that he would consider that much of a present.

Because I spent a whole bunch of money this past weekend on groceries.

I decided to try to eat that food instead of spending even more money on going out to eat or getting take-out.

I keep finding these easy kid science experiments, seeing that we have all the materials needed, then starting them . . . only to find out that you don't see the results for an hour, hours, or days.

My kids are getting annoyed.

I should read the directions all the way through to the end before we start.

My dinner was super yummy.

I grilled chicken thighs that had marinated in Italian dressing (thanks to April's suggestion), cornbread dressing, green beans, and homemade rolls.

I also put a few hot dogs on the grill.

Henry ate 2 hot dogs and some green beans.

Mark ate green beans.

The rolls weren't ready at dinnertime but both kids ate one after dinner.

I'm glad they didn't try the chicken because I only did 4 thighs. Glen ate two, and I ate two.

I have TONS of cornbread dressing leftover.

I think I remember seeing a chicken casserole made out of dressing; I'll go look.
