So far I have only come across one other Evelyn, but her mom calls her Eh-vie (we use Ee-vie, but almost never call her that).
I haven't met many other Masons, but there was one at his school.
We should definitely all report back when the kids start school this fall on what the class names are like!
I think it's regional but I know a few Evelyns. My niece (who we call ee-vie) is sitting 3 feet away from me right now.
I already know they are gonna be aidens (and variations of that sound) in Lucas's class. Along with all the other uber popular names because I swear the Northeast is what creates those lists LOL

I know of one 3rd grade Evelyn who goes by Evelyn and one 1-year-old who goes by Evie (EE-vie) at my church. Plus my friend's sister is pregnant and is planning on used the name Evelyn--don't know if they plan to use a nn.
hmmm... i have never heard the name jaylon before.
i have heard jaylen for both a girl and a boy...i wonder if they are pronounced the same. do you say the on as on or en?
i love the name will, but unfortunately that would be a no go with our last name.
i actually suggested it to dave when we were thinking of names for connor before i realized how ridiculous that would sound, especially if we ever called him billy.

Jaylon/Jaylen are pronounced exactly the same around here.
Never heard of Jaylon, but seems similar to the traditional girl's name Jayleen. If you are talking girl J names that are not really common but not way out there Jacqueline is a good one.
ETA, I may be the only but I like the name Sydney for a girl. Granted my dh would never have gone for it, but since he doesn't count now.

I love the name Sydney and it is actually on our list.
The biggest problem for us is between our families (mostly his since its huge) and his extensive family of friends it's hard to not repeat a name.
We also don't want a "popular" name which has totally bummed us out because one of our first conversations was about whether he wanted kids/I wanted more and we ended up talking about it forever and we both loved the name chloe (totally randomly like said it at the same time). It's in the top 10 so we dont think we're gonna use it.

I have always loved the name Chloe. I also really love the name Hannah but we didn't use it because of the same reason you didn't use Chloe. I still love both names though. Granted if I were still waiting for dh on a name, Elizabeth would still be known as our baby.

There are two little girl Sydneys at my church. One is 4, and one is 5.
