Just thought I'd post since nothing has been in here since May.

Nothing new with Henry.

He's DYING to know who his 5th grade teacher/s will be.

Diego will be going to 5th grade also. He has no idea who his teacher will be.

Tomorrow we will going to a nutricionist since he is very frustrated with his weight.  He does a lot of exercise but he also LOVES food.  He likes to cook, smell it and taste it.

He already has everything for school. We start on August 5.

Does Diego want to be a chef?

When do you get out of school?  I thought August 11 for us was early.  We usually get out the end of May unless there's snow days.

My younger kids start school August 16, I believe. It's that Monday anyway. I'll be teaching my younger 3 myself.

My older 2 are doing an online school. Rebecca doesn't need any oversight, she does well on her own. I will be helping Crystal quite a bit. Not that I don't think she can do the assignments, I just know how careless she can be so I think she needs me to look over her assignments before she turns them in. I will also need to make sure she's keeping up because I'm not sure I trust her to do it on her own. Rebecca will be mostly in 10th grade work, except for the two classes she needs to finish the second half of 9th grade work. I'm not sure about Crystal yet. I know for sure she'll be starting in 8th grade math but I'm sure she can test out of most of it. I have no idea about the other subjects. She took the placement test in May but I didn't find out anything then. I will find out at the start of the semester.

Kyle is finishing up 5th grade this fall and starting in 6th throughout the semester (he finishes the grade at different times for different subjects). He is NOT looking forward to school at all. Then again, his idea of severe torture is being made to write anything, no matter how small.

Brenna will be working through 2nd grade work and starting on 3rd grade at sometime during the year. Brenna likes school, especially math and art.

Brittany will be finishing kindergarten work and hopefully get through 1st grade work by the end of the year. She already knows how to sound out words and can do simple addition and subtraction. She also loves math, but I think her main love of school is having one-on-one time with me.

Yes he wants to be a chef and he is very good at it.

We ended school around May 18.  We have always started around August 11 but i think that this year they are thinking and a hurricane could strike us so they decided to start earlier.

We are nervous about Danielle starting 6th grade, but she has been working closely with her dr, and I think he is going to start helping her with school related stuff now.

I feel more confident this year that we will be able to manage her school and anxiety issues, and I am really REALLY hoping we can avoid the medication route.

At least having a diagnosis gives her teachers and the staff at her school something to work off of, and I feel like we can deal with her issues in a more concrete manner. But we still take everything day by day, dealing with issues and meltdowns as they come up.
