We just got home from Mark's 5-year-old checkup. He's right at the 50th percentile--44 inches tall and 40 pounds. He got his finger pricked and got 3 shots--and did NOT cry at all. He barely flinched although he did say quietly, "Ouch." He's so tough. His vision is 20/40 which they said not to worry about now but he'll probably need glasses in a couple years. His hearing is great. He peed in a cup and actually had such great aim that he didn't get any pee anywhere except inside the cup. (If only he had such great aim at home.)
He fussed the whole way to the doctor's office but once we got there, he was pretty happy.
And now he's ready for Kindergarten.
