This afternoon/evening after work on his way to his car, DH's friend was carjacked/kidnapped at gunpoint. He was forced to drive around, stop @ two ATMs and withdraw money while they smoked crack in the car. Afterwards, they had him drop them at their apartments (?? this no one gets). He walked away shaken, with his wallet, credit cards, etc. So thankful he's okay! But what a scary experience to go through! DH is with him now. The police have his car for evidence so DH went to get him, grab some coffee and just be a friend.
Any prayers for swift justice and mental healing for our friend would be appreciated.
Its crazy! Of all the times we've ever been downtown! We were just down there for this new water fountain park and now after this it makes you wonder if even home is safe.
Wow...thats crazy! I am so glad your DH's friend is ok and unharmed in all this. It can happen to anyone, anywhere....just a wrong place, wrong time kind of thing. (and sounds like the culprits were STOOPID too....having him drop them off at their apartments...) I will be thinking of this friend and his family.
