I have no reason for my preference, but I go right to Jameson. I love the name either way!!! I can't wait to hear about his/her birth!!!!

I prefer Jamison, although unlike most spelling options for names, I'm not COMPLETELY biased on one versus the other. I may be slightly biased as this hottie-mctottie I went to school with name was Jamison, and he was, no lie, the hottest guy I'd ever seen. Enough that 15 years later I just gave myself a hot flash, lmao. Anyways, I completely love the name.

I think the modern take on this is that Jameson is the unisex version. But, I think both are fine. Although if we used Jameson, all Joe's friends would think he named his kid after the porn star, lol.

I prefer Jameson. Would you ever shorten it? I'd say for sure Jameson if you think there's even a glimmer he would ever be James.

it is so bizarre b/c i have liked the name for a few years and without a doubt intended to go with the jamison spelling. until this morning. i have no clue what is causing me to waiver, but something is telling me maybe jameson is more masculine??

i was enjoying the gender surprise...until this week. now, not so much.:)

okay for me i read jameson

jame - son or james - on - almost like 2 seperate words

for me jamison just flows all together as one name.

yes, i know i am weird! :P

as far as the gender surprise, what you are due in a week? you are nearly there and i am beyond excited to hear what this little one is.

I like Jameson. Not sure exactly why but I do think it looks very masculine.

This is why I pick Jamison.  I also don't like anything that can be shorten.  Why I picked Stephen over Steven.

Like others, I pronounced it wrong with an e.  I really like it with an I.  No matter how you spell it, I love the name and think it flows well with your other children :)

I am so surprised that so many of you pronounce them differently! I pronounce them exactly the same. Maybe it is because we are so familiar with Jameson whisky, which is pronounced just like everyone is saying Jamison. LOL See, if you all were alkies like we are, you would say them the same too... ;)

Corey, I'm with Amber-I want to know if you have a girl name picked as well?
