Hi!

Do you like to play cards? What's your favorite card game?

I love to play cards.

I come from a long line of card-players.

My favorite card games are: Spite, Hand & Foot, Shanghai Rummy.

I also like Kings on the Corner, Hearts, and Spades.

When we just in Oklahoma, we taught Henry how to play Kings on the Corner, and now he's a card lover too.

He wants to play ALL.THE.TIME.

Hi Robin!

When I was a kid my entire family and extended family played cards.  I can remember playing crazy 8 with my grandma at the kitchen table along with rummy and uker.  We played other ones too, and all of them were using a regular deck of cards.  I hardly get to play anymore but love to, which is funny because I am not much of a game player.  I think uker is my favorite.

Heya ladies.

I've missed the chat threads.

I used to love to play cards (Robin, my fave was Kings Corner, too when I was his age)... now when we are together with friends, we get too... uhm... rowdy, let's call it, and I can't play anything that needs thought. We play a lot of Spades, which I enjoy. We also play a lot of Euchre, but I just recently learned, so I have to be reminded a lot whenever we play.

Hannah woke up at 2:30 this morning (she has some yucky coughs) and stayed up until about 6:30ish. I'm dying. We were at my sister's, but Hannah threw a fit to come home, and for good reason, because she's just vegging on the couch (which I do NOT mind at ALL today.)

I am lmao right now.  I read your post and realized that uker is spelled Eucher.  Although you might utter a word that begins with f followed by the rest of those letters.  confuse

Ok I'm home and relaxing in my a/c now.

My ticker is wrong. The baby measured a week SMALLER then it should have which is kind of screwed up considering I don't know when I ovulated but I KNOW when I tested and it was SUPER early, a week earlier then it should have been.  Anyway no big deal except I was really hoping it might be early and make it into the 2010 tax season now it would have to be too early to make it.

Everything was perfect and we saw it moving around and heard the heartbeat, which to see Joe's face when he saw the heartbeat and then heard it, melted MY heart. He was so excited to see the baby and can't wait for our first trimester screening to see it again. heart.gif

My mom is still being a little um bitchy.  I thought maybe the ultrasound would help. It didn't.  Whatevs.

Nikki and all her friends know. I used it as an opportunity about practicing safe sex since I know at least one of her friends is sexually active (yes I know Nikki has an actual "normal" friend how shocking).

Travis and Quint still do not know. Although I made the pics on my facebook pretty public so it is possible if one of our old mutual friends wanted to stalk me they might be able to see it and tell him but that is kind of a far fetched scenario.

The only reason Lucas doesn't know is because he doesnt understand wtf we are talking about. I asked him if he wanted a baby and he said "ohhh yeah a baby brother please" When I told him you get to pick he said nevermind then. LMAO

We went to swim at our friend Margaret's house.

After an hour, the clouds rolled in and it started thundering so we had to get out of the pool.

There is a pajama and pizza party at church this evening, showing "101 Dalmatians" (with Glenn Close).

That starts at 6.

I just ate my dinner.

I desperately need to go to the grocery store but I need to go through my coupons and get a good list.

Plus I didn't want to hear my kids whine on the way home from swimming.

i love playing cards.

we're waiting on our wonderful friends to bring us some furniture.

they were supposed to be here at 7 but she called at 7:30. She sounds pretty pissed at her husband for insisting on coming even though now she has to bring her van as well and her three kids.

I love her.

I went to the grocery store this morning while everyone was still sleeping.

I was amazed that they were still asleep when I got back home about 7:30.

The boys are up now, though.

I have Grands! homestyle biscuits in the oven.

I liked it better when people only posted in cocktail chat about once a week (or less).

That way I didn't feel like I was missing anything.
