hey everybody, just thought i would update with what is going on with us. we are repatriating back to the US possibly very soon. right now, efe has two offers within his company from different offices.
choice A: Detroit - they are basically handing everything to him on a silver platter, dying to get him to come, bothering him all the time, promising him the world, he would be on a huge client
choice B: Chicago - they would like him too, but it is a much smaller client
we aren't very excited about moving to detroit, but it is hard to turn down considering all that they are telling him. we pretty much had decided that we wanted to go to chicago, mostly because we like the city, but now detroit is upping the anty and we are reconsidering. efe's contract will end in september, but both would like him to come back in august. since i will need to get mason enrolled in school (and find a place to rent), i will likely go back in late july. it is right around the corner! i am sad to leave it here, but i'm starting to accept it as reality and getting excited to come back home.
just a little info on what is going on with me. we will be deciding for sure next week which option to choose, so if you can spare any positive thoughts, they would be appreciated.
detroit house prices are rock bottom right now from everything i have seen and read on the news. might be a plus if you are planning on buying and staying awhile...

well, i think we will "try it out" for a year and then see. we do really want to move back to indianapolis. if we don't like the new city, efe will have to quit the firm though because there really aren't the opportunities he's looking for in indy.
corey, i think we will rent for the first year just to see if we like it, but that is a very good point.
Good luck making that decision, Crystal!! I am excited for you to come back to the States, though I am sure there will be things you really miss about living overseas.

Yes, the suburbs there seem to be very nice, although I haven't ever seen them. Just from what people have said...
