While I was on here, Andrew came up to me excited. His tooth is loose. Last night it was fine. Looked in his mouth, it's turning black from the bottom!
He hasn't done anything to it. 5 months ago the dentist said it should be at least a year and a half before he looses his teeth, from what the X-Ray showed.
Oh course, he's out of town. I've called the on-call dentist. No word back. Steve has called the Dr and left a message to see what they think or if they have a dentist we should call today.
Anything else we should do? Call? Do you think we should wait until tomorrow, or try to be seen today? The fact that it's happened over night has me worried.
Ok, heard back from the on call dentist. He said that it could be looking black from blood if the bottom of the tooth was cutting his gums. I didn't know that. He said to call the office tomorrow and bring him in to have it looked at. That they wouldn't reimplant a front baby tooth. That back teeth were more important for that kind of treatment.
Doesn't matter anyway, 'cause it's out now.
So, my "baby" is now old enough to start losing his teeth. He is very excited. I have no pillow, present... So, we'll have to see how creative the Tooth Fairy is.
Wow. I would have thought that they need to be much older to start losing teeth.
I was really worried because it was black on the bottom, but when it came out there was some blood kind of pooled in there. So I guess the on-call dentist was right. I ended up cutting up one of my old T-shirts and gluing it into a pillow. I don't know how to sew. Then stuffed it with cotton balls. The Tooth Fairy left $2.00 and a small Iceman figure.
He was so excited when he got up. I explained that since it was his very first tooth, he got a present, but that I didn't think the the Tooth Fairy usually left them. A few hours later he walks up to me and says, "I think I'm the type of kid who always gets a toy fromt the Tooth Fairy". LOL

Glad it went well and he was happy with the Tooth Fairy. I think the Tooth Fairy will have a hard time resisiting such a handsome and good looking fellow his request.
