Should I cut the grapes in half? and a soccer question

Raven's first soccer game is tomorrow and I'm bringing snacks.  I'm doing grapes(maybe frozen) and goldfish.  I don't cut grapes in half for Raven anymore.  She is on the 4-5 year old team.  WWYD?

Should she wear cleats?  The only thing required to play is shin guards.  Not sure how necessary it is for this age group.  I can't find her size here which means a trip to the mall today(I was hoping to avoid this).  Thanks.

I wouldn't cut the grapes. Cleats are totally optional, some do, some don't. My kids have worn them only because I found them for under $1 at a garage sale.

Around here some wear cleats and some do not.

My kids always have. I found a small pair for Owen last year at Payless they were like $9.

I wouldn't cut the grapes. At our school we only have to cut them up until 3 years old, so once they turn four it isn't mandatory.

I would say wear tennis shoes to the first one and see if cleats are necessary before going out and getting some.

I wouldn't cut grapes.

I like Juni's idea to wear sneakers to first one and see what everyone else is doing. When Lucas played soccer most of the kids didn't wear cleats. I could never find them in his size and then I was glad I couldn't. He hated soccer and only played one session which was 2 months.

We are trying Tee Ball next, it starts tomorrow. I hope he likes it better.

Connor did soccer last spring and there was not one single kid with cleats.

Just what I wanted to hear.  So I'm not cutting grapes and holding off on cleats for now.

Raven loves soccer but she also wanted to play t-ball.  Both sports practice and play at the same time so she will probably do t-ball next.  Stephen hated soccer so he only played one season when he was 5.

What? no cleats?

just kidding.

We got cleats for Kiera cause we are super soccer people. She wore them in the fall, but grew out of them. I will not buy them for her for this season cause she totally doesn't need them and none of the other kids are wearing them.

They won(even though no one wins or loses and they don't keep score).LOL Don't see any need for cleats but I will pick some up if they're on sale.
