K-mart double coupon event?

anyone else heard about this in your area?  (my area is supposed to be participating but I am calling my store to confirm tomorrow).  I want to order some coupons, but might wait.  if your store is participating, do you have a shopping plan?  popcorn.gif

definitely happening here. i emailed CS and they said that all NJ stores are participating. i will try to head over there one day this week, possibly tomorrow since i have to take the day off of work b/c emily's school is closed for break.

i have some $2/1 wisk Qs left from my grocery store's sale last week (they were $2.99) so i might try to use those.

i'll look at their pull-ups prices, but i think they're $9.99 for the small packs. even with $3 off, i can get them cheaper during a deal at CVS (i just got 2 packs for $4 yesterday after ECBs).

other than that, i'll just flip through my binder and see what other Qs i have and go from there.

how about you? what are your plans? popcorn.gif and corey, what about you?!?

I haven't couponed in a while for severe lack of space, but I remember the double coupon event at Kmart had some issues where not all coupons doubled, or they didn't double the way you would plan out.  I know that is entirely not helpful because I can't remember the specific issue, and they may have fixed it since then, but might be worth a stop on AFC or similar to see if there are issues this time around.

the only kmarts around here are 30ish minutes away and bogus. i don't think they participate in the doubling events anyways, so i never shop there.

hope you have fun though and share all your great deals!!

I don't really have a plan....i guess I'll just bring my binder and try to use any high value q's.  the blog I follow has some matchups so I'll go through those too.  i do know that the soft scrub should be free (it is $3.00 and i have four $1.50 off q's).

yeah....i am not thrilled to shop there.  i don't really care for the store's layout (it is too messy and cluttered), but if i can get some stuff for free, i'll suffer through it ;)

nope.

it was empty.

i will say that the closet kmart to me is about 15 minutes away and it is totally ghetto - small, old and i've only been there once or twice.  they have very little of anything.  like 2 aisles of groceries and that's it.

when i got there, i stopped at CS to get a rewards card.  i was like "you guys are doubling coupons right?" and the girl was like yeah and handed me the form to fill out.  then she had to call the manager to see if i could do double coupons tonight if i had just gotten the card.  long story short, no one really had any clue wtf was going on.

i was thinking i could make a couple of trips this week if there was anything good going on, but i won't go back. :(

well....so far, I have done really well at KMart! i was able to do some catalina deals with the scrubbing bubbles and another one with dove. then, i was able to do a P&G one. so, right now, I bought: 5 scrubbing bubbles cleaner; 4 dove deoderant; one revlon beauty tool; three mach razors; two cover girl make-up; an outfit for Ivy; a pair of tennis shoes (marked down to $4.98 from $20.00). I paid oop 9.04 for the first transaction and got back a 5.00 catalina; paid 2.97 second one and got back 5.00 catalina; bought the outfit and tennis shoes and paid .63; third transaction, I bought the razors and make-up for 5.98 oop and will get back a 10.00 pre-paid mastercard from P&G!

eta that my sister bought 5 boxes of tampax pearl for 6.32 oop and will get a $10.00 pre-paid mastercard from P&G.

we are splitting the stuff between us also.
