an evening alone - wwyd?

So I'm planning to run away tomorrow evening, and I have no idea what to do with myself.  I figure if DH can go to a "meeting" with friends at 5:30 and still not be home yet (almost 9pm), I can treat myself to some alone time, too.  And by golly, the boys better be asleep by the time I get home!

dinner and movie (Alice in Wonderland 3D)?
dinner and coffee shop with my laptop?
browse around the mall (don't really need/want to buy anything)?

I need some friends here!  I should give Erin a call. smile

I recently took a me-day and spent a good chunk of it in Borders. Relaxed, looked through a ton of books, just relaxed.  I also love hanging out at libraries.  (um, clearly I'm a dork).  I like finding the random nooks no one goes to, putting in my ipod, and looking through tons of magazines, etc.

Whatever you choose, enjoy it, and yes, you deserve it too!!!!

I thought you were really running away.  lol.

some you time sounds awesome.

For me, coffee shop/bookstore and a movie sounds devine. I guess if I had to pick one, it would be the coffee shop and some magazines and throw in a pedicure.

you should give me a call.  I wish I could get away tomorrow.  Im afraid I have come home too late too often this week though.

i'd probably do it all! :D

I mean, if you're going to be tired the next day you could as well 'live it up' tonight

6 p.m. coffee shop/bookstore

7 p.m. quick bite to eat

8 p.m. movie

10 p.m. home :)

How fun! What about a massage? Pedicure gmv too. I would probably go shopping and then do something like a massage. Hope you have a great night!

thanks for the ideas! I hadn't even considered a pedicure, that sounds good. I'm still up in the air about a movie, so we'll see about that. But I'll definitely hit the coffee shop with my laptop and catch up on some blogging, then probably shop around for some new sandals.

I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again!

Dom wasn't feeling well yesterday afternoon and had to finish some work, too, so I had pity on him and stayed home. I told him that I WILL be going out alone by myself tomorrow, though.

It's okay, I feel better about being out alone during the day anyway. So I'm going to grab some lunch at this internet cafe place, take my laptop with me and do some blogging. Then I'm going to hit some stores for some browsing/shopping - need to get the boys some shoes and socks, going to check out carseats/strollers and diaper bags, then I'll stop for a pedi and try to find some new sandals. Depending on time, I might catch a movie too. I plan to be out for most of the day, I'm looking forward to it. :)
