We got a call today from the high risk ob office. The genetic counselor needs to meet with both of us, DH and I. They were able to get in tomorrow at 8:30 am. When we saw him, he was very specific about how he would call unless there was a problem, then he would have us come in.
So, I'm pretty freaked.
When we did this with Andrew, he found out I had some kind of high cardiac enzyme thing, I can't remember the name, that was causing my blood to clot. He thought that was why I'd had so many miscarriages. That the cord would would form a clot, anyway, He called me over the phone with that info. I've been on baby aspirin since.
He said that he didn't anticipate any problems with anything. The U/S's have all looked good, just baby being smal for the age, but Andrew was like that too in the begining. Then he got really huge. Full term head size at 28 weeks!
I'm hoping that the office staff is stupid and that they are calling me to tell me to be on aspirin.
Just, I'm stressed. Been cramping off and on today. When I told the NP about the pain last week at my appt, she said to lay on my left side, down water...I'd been doing that and that does make the pain stop.
How stressful! I am so glad they can get you seen first thing in the morning. I'm praying that it's something silly. Please let us know when you can what is going on!
Thanks. Do you think the office would call me about the aspirin thing? I'm hoping that's what it is. That they are just going to make us waste time driving there for stuff we found out about 5 years ago. As of our last appt, they still hadn't gotten my file out of strorage, even though I'd told them since Dec that we would need it. Even Corry, the genetic counselor was ticked off about not having it by the time we me with him on 3/15...

I have no idea but 5 years is a long time and I could definitely see that being a possibility. At least the u/s have all looked good!
Sending up prayers for you. I think it's quite likely it's about the same thing. Even if they know it's a repeat and you have been through this before, they will probably still call you in and go through the whole routine to make sure that you understand and know everything. It is probably a standard cya procedure.
They tested Steve the same time they did me, and it turns out he has some kind of clotting problem, don't remember the name, but it is more serious then whatever I have. He is at greater risk for DVT and needs to see a hemeatologist. Andrew should also be tested for it. As should Steve's brother. Steves' dad has had clots before, so it's prolly from his dad. Steve is going to try and get him tested, but it came from one of his parents, so it could be his mom.
I need to to stay on the asprin as its the only meds that will work that will cross the placenta. I will need more U/S's to check to make sure the baby is growing enough.
So, out of everything it could be, I'm taking this as fantastic news!!!
Thank you everybody for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank goodness! And what luck that they found that out about Steve before it was too late! Great news!
I was on low-dose aspirin my entire pregnancy with Evie because it is recommended for preggos with a history of early onset, severe preeclampsia. I didn't have any problems resulting from the aspirin, and even took it the day before my c-section and had no excess bleeding issues. It didn't do a damn thing about the pre-e, LOL, but it didn't hurt either. :)

That is great, Victoria!! I am relieved all is well with the baby.
Keep us posted about Steve though-what do they do about this problem?
Thanks everybody. I was so freaked out, but trying not to be, KWIM? I hardly slept last night. This afternoon I hopped in the tub and slept there for almost an hour. LOL! I'm off to bed, but wanted to say thank you. I really believe prayer can help.
