I do not know if I have a pic will work on taking one.

But on it I have an 8x10 of each boy, a reed diffuser and two candle holder thingies

I don't have a picture of mine either, but I think it really depends on what it is you want and like.

My fireplace has this stone looking wall on the entire wall it's on and has this big thick heavy and dark wood mantle. It was here when we bought the house and we are afraid to mess with it. Anyway I have an antique mirror behind it that has an interesting wood frame that is about the same color as the mantle. In front of that I have a variety of candles in different shapes and sizes. On either side of that are some pictures of our family (3 on each side) and a statue of Mary that was my Grandma's and a pot my dad made. Yes it is kind of full, but since the mantle is at least 6ft., it's really not that bad.

Honestly, my home will not make any magazine cover. I KNOW what to do and about keeping styles together, but my home is just that, home. I do want it to look nice but I am also sentimental and decorate our house to make us happy and comfortable.

ours is nothing to brag about really. i just put a mirror and some candle holders and a statute that i got from pier one. but here and here are some awesome mantles!! kris, i would love to see your new mantle :)
