It's raining here, which I actually view as a good thing. I take E to ot this afternoon but other than that I think since it is raining I will be trying to catch up on some very needed house work.
Caroline has equine therapy this morning (unless the barn-thing floods? They are semi-indoors until nicer weather) & the kids have school this afternoon.
I have a $5 coupon to Gymboree that I have to use before tomorrow so I think I'll take Bennett to the mall while the kids are in school.
It's raining here too so no outside time for us either.
Workout then major house cleaning and laundry need to be done.
Last night, on her birthday, my BFF's husband called to tell her he'd been in jail for the pas 24 hours for a DUI. He's in Indiana for work. So she was a bit of a wreck so I was over there until 1am. Her stepbrother is in jail awaiting trial and she just can't handle her DH doing this right now. So....I'm thankful for my responsible husband.
I have two sick kids today. Both have screaming high fevers (both went over 104 last night), which I can't seem to keep down at all. 2 adult motrin only brought dani's fever down to 102.
Needless to say, we are heading into the doc this am.
Sounds like it's raining in much of the country today. Juliette announced that today is a "sick gray day", which means it looks like rain outside here, too.
I'm hoping that helps encourage some of the spring flowers to pop up!

I want to go to Gymbo and check out bathing suits. I think the Easter bunny is going to bring each girl a new suit and pair of sunglasses.
Now I just wish the Easter bunny had time to go shop for said items.
I'm loving my new job so far. Great company and i love the location.
I'm at work right now and am doing some online training. good times!
Sonya, that's two-thumbs up awesome!
I'm glad you've had so many good things come together for you-you deserve it .
How often do you have to go in for work? Do you work from home a lot?
Right now i am working in the office full time.
i can work from home when I want but i want to be a part of the office right now. It's good to have the options but I want people to know me here.
My team works from other cities (except for one friend here). the other teams that work here are real programmers (iphone developers, etc) and I feel like an old unhip lady. (which I am).
the other day i was the only woman in the office. lol.
toni~ leave your credit cards at home when you go swimsuit shopping at gymbo...they have some to die for cute things this season (imo) and you are going to want to buy it all.
it is shockingly not raining here at all today. it is only 52 degrees or so, but atleast the sun is shining. hopefully my poor sister can get her basement empty of water today:)
i have some cleaning to do and then i need to attempt to nudge my kids away from noggin and push them into the backyard. speaking of, i need to get a padlock for the back gate. we have those child proof gates...you know the kind where you push down from the top to unlock, but the other day i was inside and i suddenly see the two of them bolting down the driveway. at the same time i could hear the ups truck barreling down the street, so i went running like a crazy person. turns out connor figured out how to climb the chain link to push the gate open and they were "on their way to the toy store".
I have a lot of paperwork to do today. Each thing won't take long but there's a LOT of it to do.
On a good note, 2 of my children went to fil's house until Monday. Dh went to Florida for his sister's wedding so fil offered to have kids at his house while he was gone. Brittany and Rebecca both have ballet today so they couldn't go and Brenna taking a bath requires too much supervision for Crystal and Kyle to handle so I made her stay behind. It's better for Brittany to have a playmate stay with her anyway.
This is dh's second trip to family alone since we got married. I'm a bit jealous because I never get to go anywhere by myself. I don't recall a single trip I've taken alone (other than 1 trip to buy roofing supplies, I was there and back in a few hours) in my entire life. It would be soooo nice to take a trip without husband or kids. But I'd rather spend money on other things so I've never seriously considered it.
could you just take a day trip alone? you would not need to do anything that costs money other than gas. you could pack a lunch, leave in the morning, and drive somewhere scenic for a walk or something. i know i adore being alone in the car--no complaining that party in the usa isn't loud enough, nobody kicking the back of my seat, no "moooom, i dropped my leapster---get it NOWWWWW".... pure bliss:)

I think a day wouldn't be long enough to counteract my jealousy. Dh took a week and a half the first time he was gone and he'll be gone 4 1/2 days this time. I really should just get over it and be fine with the fact that it's me that's keeping me from going anywhere. I don't trust dh to keep the house neat and do school with the kids so that they would understand. Every time I've tried to hand those over to him for even a short while, I have to redo it all. Every time.

OMG!!! You are such a good friend. Man, I would be so upset!!!! Holy wow-what a night.

Other than that, not much going on here .
Oh no, Toni!!! I hope they are better soon-those high fevers are scary.
