I was in a bunch of 'groups' - I had friends in all kinds of different groups. I was the editor of the yearbook (so you can put me in the nerd group), I was friends with the most "popular" kids, my very close friends were co-presidents of the student council, I was friends with tons of jocks, I was in the drama club. I was well rounded, I guess.
I tend to make friends easily and was the connector point for a lot of different groups.
but i was never into school cliques - i ran out of school as soon as possible and headed to ballet every single day - it was there i had my friends/social interactions. and on weekends i babysat every friday and saturday.
i never even went to more than a handful of football games during high school - and never felt like i missed anything...
Sonya, I was a lot like you - part of a bunch of different groups. I was also one of the yearbook editors and ranked second in my class, so I was definitely in the nerdy category. However, I dated one of the "popular" boys (who I later on went to marry, lol), so I hung out with the cool kids. And I played sports, so I also hung out with the jock types. I guess I was also a connector.
I am finally going back to the city today for work. After all the storms and with the latest incident involving Natalie's leg, it has been almost two weeks since I have worked in the office! I hope my mil can manage carrying Natalie around for the day. 4 yr olds are heavy!
I can't believe Natalie broke (?) her leg! You'd have thought with 2 active boys you would have had your breaks there instead of with your sweet girlie!
So we are having our first snow storm (I typed snot storm, lol) of the year. It's awesome!
The snow was over my knees this morning, no sidewalks at all - i had to walk in the middle of the street.
My bus got stuck going up a giant hill but another bus was right behind us so we just hopped on that one.
FUN!
I'm sitting in a silent office (everyone is working from home), I have a big coffee, and my office bff is here so we can still have lunch and coffee break!
It's an awesome day!
plus, Mike will do all the child care and snow shoveling!

I didn't realize it was her leg - I saw one post on FB and assumed it was her arm.
I also didn't realize you were a genius!! 2nd in your class?! Impressive!!!
Also I need to apologize up front for any crank calls. Kate is obsessed with my phone and you remain in the #1 alpha position when she's pushing buttons!!!
HS...I played volleyball. I was a cheerleader. I was a yearbook editor. I was NHS. I was also painfully shy. So I was one of those kids who was well-known, but not in the uber-popular crowd, although some of my BFF's were. If people talked to me I was fine, but I would never strike up a conversation on my own. Maybe that explains my being a dateless wonder throughout HS!
