GM- we watched the first half- they are always too long for me, lol.
This weekend, my SIL is coming up and staying in a hotel to give Travis and I a date day on both Sat and Sun.
Unfortunately, Travis is so behind with research for his classes that he will be spending our date day in the library. I will be going shopping (I HATE shopping) because I got invited to a meeting with super big wigs at the university next week and have nothing appropriate. So, go date day!
We plan to at least have lunch together.
15 months or less until he is done...15 months.... :)
we dvr'd and watched right up until before the opening cermonies but i could not keep my eyes open any longer so we will be watching later today most likely at some point.
I had my surgery yesterday. It went well, they said. They said I only stopped breathing one time while under which is pretty good considering I have an episode every 2.6 minutes while asleep. Yesterday was miserable. I don't think I wasn't not on pain meds at all. I tried watching Project Runway from Thurs. night but that didn't work. LOL I called DH Cleatus a bunch of times, cleaned the house, and generally had no idea what I was doing. So I slept and tried to eat. Today DH is forcing me to rest while he and the kids go out and get my V-Day gift. DH's came while I was in surgery. :) I planned it that way. Super slick, ain't I? I couldn't wait till Sunday so he opened it last night and LOVED IT!!
Sunday- no idea. Nervous about leaving Molly for the first time. Have I shared a pic of Molly for my non-FB peeps?
I did watch most of the opening ceremonies last night.
Hannah stayed with my mom last night, so I got a chance to sleep in. Of course, I couldn't sleep. Go figure.
I am going to a baby shower today with my sisters, and then Hannah should be coming home. I may go Vday shopping tonight because Joe and Hannah's gifts didn't come in time.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and I think Hannah may go spend the night with my MIL in the evening, and go out for dinner.
Monday we have a family dinner for my MIL's birthday.
I did not watch anything last night. I went to a bakery and chatted with some girlfriends instead.
We have a birthday party to go to this afternoon and dh will be working today at some point. I am feeling crabby today so not sure how things will go. I get up early with Elizabeth and dh sleeps in because he is up late at night. Today it's really irritating me because I would like to get some things done around here but I have to work it around him. He then decides to start doing projects later on in the day or at night when I am tired out from the day. This is nothing new, but for some reason it is bugging me today. Okay, enough whine.
I tried to watch them but wasn't very successful - boo! I ended up seeing little bits and pieces. I love watching the athletes from the different countries walk in - plus I have been studying my globe!
I've seen the replay of the Georgian luger accident more than I care to - I'm heartbroken for his family
I bought the Wii Mario Olympics a couple of weeks back and Jake has been playing the heck out of - so it makes the Olympics exciting because he now knows what the events are b/c he's done them himself!! Who said video games weren't educational!
But, he also thinks Peach and Mario and Bowser are going to actually be participating at the real Olympics . . . so he doesn't quite get it!

i'm trying not to feel hostile this morning. jake napped yesterday from about 3:15 until 4:45 (we put him down at 1:30, but he didn't fall asleep til 3:15). then he got in trouble last night for AGAIN refusing to help with the toy clean-up at bedtime, so he went to bed at 7pm and got no show or story like emily did.
well that shit backfired b/c he was in my room at 6:15. i tried to get him to lay with us, but he was WIDE awake and there was no turning back. matt got all huffy and i said, "well, that's what happens i guess when we put him to bed early after a late nap" and matt said, "awesome, we punished ourselves." long story short, matt is still asleep and i have been up since 6:15. i am ALWAYS the one who gets up with them on the weekends and it aggravates the shit out of me. (he has let me sleep in twice in the last few weeks, but seriously, that is twice since we've had kids).
i need to invest in some earplugs that i can wear when he lets me sleep in. hearing the kids downstairs keeps me awake.
can someone please go get me some more coffee? thanks!
Sonya - I love Josie's haircut. Both your kids are adorable!
April - Sorry you had to get up early. And that you always have to get up early.
No, we didn't watch any Olympics here.
We're doing a Nielsen TV survey here this week, and it's funny how we're keeping the TVs off more just because we're too lazy to write stuff down in the journals.
I woke up at 7:15 (instead of 7:30 with my alarm) because I felt something weird under my pillow. At first I thought it was a piece of tape but it was gooey-ish. I lifted my pillow and was horrified. It looked like a big wide streak of blood--like blood was coming from my nose or ears. I checked to see if af started. Nope.
I looked closer, then I remembered. Last night, Mark told me he put a surprise under my pillow. We all forgot about it. It used to be a Hershey's kiss until I melted it and dragged it across my bed while sleeping.
